Job summary

Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) in Pune seeks engineers to join the M&S ES Americas simulations team. You will perform simulations of electrical products (breakers, switchgear, UPS) using MBD, vibration and static analysis, partnering with local and global teams to validate designs.

Responsibilities include developing models, interpreting results for a global audience, and advancing analysis methodologies to support robust product development and automation of repetitive tasks.

Qualifications

• MS/ME/M.Tech in Mechanical/Automotive engineering.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience with multinational engineering organization.

• Collaborates with technology and product teams to define problem statements.
• Understands project requirements and solves problems in discussion with local as well as global stakeholders.
• Understand existing simulation modeling methodologies & assist to mature further
• Deploys developed simulation methodologies to strengthen "Analysis First" strategy on electrical products
• Develops simulation models for MBD/Vibration/Static CTQ to evaluate critical performance of electrical products.
• Analyze, interpret, summarize and communicate simulation results to global audience and provide technical and/or design recommendations.
• Delivers deep insights through simulations for robust product development to meet performance requirements/ CTQs for electrical products.
• Coordinates with stakeholders to understand analysis requirements, create analysis approach & solve simple/medium complex problems
• Understand & assist in maturing analysis capability of Structural technology domain for electrical productline.
• Engage with product and test engineer to improve analysis models and validate analysis approach with test data.
• Demonstrates CI mindset & indentify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks.

What you’ll do:

Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) – M&S ES Americas team has an Engineer open position. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform simulations of electrical products breakers/switchgear/UPS from MBD (Multi Body Dynamics )/vibration/Static technology. Individual will be required to partner with local and global teams, understand the design intent, develop and validate simulation models to substantiate the engineering designs. Individual should have sound knowledge of Mechanical systems, Vibration & Mechanics modelling techniques in ADAMS/ANSYS Workbench and allied software.

The primary function for this position includes:

Qualifications:

• MS/ME/M.Tech in Mechanical/Automotive engineering

Skills:

• Thorough understanding of dynamic techniques like Fatigue, Static, MBD, Vibration analysis methods. Knowledge of Six Sigma (DfSS) is preferred.
• Candidate should have excellent English communication (oral and written) and presentation skills and should be a good team player.
