Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a Systems Engineer to perform system performance and architectural analysis for current and next generation chipsets. You will collaborate across teams to study architecture, optimize power and performance, debug system issues, and develop automation for profiling and validation across SOC components.

Responsibilities include pre-silicon evaluations, signoffs, and addressing memory and NoC aspects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

Responsibilities

• System performance and architectural analysis for current and next generation chipsets across subsystems on the SoC.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams for architecture study and power/performance optimization.
• System issue debugging and HW/SW optimization.

General Summary

• System performance and architectural analysis, including analysis/assess/project/report CPU/MIPS, bus bandwidth and latencies, User Experience/Game Power/Performance, and memory utilization for current and next generation chipsets to meet the product requirements across various subsystems on the SoC.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to carry out architecture study, Perform detailed system analysis against product requirement, explore and optimize power/performance
• System issue Debug, identify workable solution for system issues including HW/SW optimizations
• Customer interaction and support
• Develop automation environment & tools for profiling, validation and debugging across all SOC components.
• Involvement in pre-silicon evaluations and signoffs
• Good to have
• System level understanding of complex multi core SoCs
• Understanding of Memory interface/NOC’s, Good debugging skills
• Understanding of scripting languages (Python/JavaScript/shell), Programming skills - C/C++/Java
• Understanding of compiler construction, internals of compiler, graphics programming, Operating system internals
• Good understanding of Linux OS and UEFI
• Good understanding of Android, Android Game Performance, Mobile UX Performance
• Experience in SoC/Chip Power Performance
• Experience working on any ARM based platforms, mobile operating systems and/or performance profiling tools
• Good Knowledge of any bus protocols (AHB, AXI, ACE) and network on chip
• Must have

• Work experience on any or all the following:
• HW: CPU/GPU/Storage/DDR/NoC/AI
• SW: Android/Windows/Linux/Programming Languages & Compiler/Driver/Power
• Responsible for defining use-case scenarios aligning to product requirement, enabling, and validating the use-case performance

Minimum Qualifications
