Job summary

Simple Energy is seeking an Engineer/Sr Engineer for Shortage Drive, Reports & Spare Management at Krishnagiri/Hosur. You will manage shortages, drive buyers, and ensure alignment with shop-floor requirements.

The role requires 3–5 years in PPC in manufacturing, a Mechanical engineering degree, and proficiency in MS Office. ERP exposure is preferred, with focus on timely spare parts supply and KPI management.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of PPC experience in automotive or manufacturing.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Fluent in Tamil and English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the rolling 3-month shortage file and coordinate with buyers.
• Identify critical shortages and track corrective actions weekly.
• Drive departmental KPIs and coordinate with buyers on daily basis.
• Collaborate with SQA and Stores for on-time GRN and inspection/acceptance.

Job description: Engineer / Sr. Engineer - Shortage Drive, Reports & Spare Management.

Location: Krishnagiri, Hosur

What You'll Do

• Prepare and maintain the rolling 3-month shortage file, drive the respective buyers, and ensure daily material commitments are aligned with shop-floor requirements.
• Identify critical shortages and critical suppliers, escape them to the appropriate management level, and track corrective actions on a weekly basis.
• Drive departmental KPIs, analyze performance gaps, and obtain corrective actions from the respective buyers on a daily basis.
• Work closely with the SQA and Stores teams to ensure on-time GRN and timely inspection/acceptance of parts.
• Work closely with the Spare Parts team and respective buyers to identify critical spares and ensure their on-time supply.
• Circulate MIS reports on a daily and weekly basis, highlighting key shortages, risks, and action status.
• Run the monthly MRP, validate the MRP results, identify gaps, and highlight system-related issues to the ERP team. Work closely with the ERP team to resolve and close the gaps.

What You Bring

• Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in Production Planning & Control (PPC) from Automotive or any manufacturing Industry
• Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
• Communication: Should be able to communicate effectively in Tamil and English.
• ERP System: Should be be having exposure in any ERP syatem,
