Job summary

Metso seeks an Engineer / Sr. Engineer, Production Planning in Alwar, Rajasthan to manage daily production planning and control, supervising teams with data analytics, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP PP/MM expertise.

Reporting to Production Planning Manager, you will optimize machine utilization and production schedules. You will collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, Store, Production, QA and Logistics to ensure on-time delivery and efficient lead times, with a focus on SAP PPDS and materials

Qualifications

• Engineering degree from any stream.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in Production Planning.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in SAP.
• Excellent in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
• Experience in SAP HANA PP & MM.
• Good communication skills.
• Driver and self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Customer demand management and planning aligned with Sales/Marketing.
• Develop Month Production Plan & Dispatch Plan with daily progress.
• Capacity planning with Engineering, Production and Procurement; SAP PPDS.
• Material planning, MRP run, PR creation, and production orders scheduling within 2 days.
• Monitor material shortages, inventory, WIP, productivity and BI reports.
• Plan workflows for manufacturing sections per sequences and lead times.
• Maintain lead times with COE, Procurement, Store, Logistics and QA.
• Coordinate with Logistics for timely dispatch of ready orders.
• Understand standard cost calculation in SAP.
• Prepare MIS reports.
• Knowledge of SAP S4 HANA PP & MM modules.

Introduction

We are seeking an Engineer / Sr. Engineer, Production Planning to join our Production Planning team. You will be responsible for the daily work management of Production, Planning & Control along with Supervision of Teams Daily Task. Must be strong in data analytics, Excel & Power Point. Required good knowledge of SAP PP & MM Module. Minimum 2 Years’ Experience in SAP PP Module. He should work very closely with Engineering, Purchase, Store, Production, QA & Logistic Departments. Responsible for full utilization of Machines & maintain the Production Plan. You will report to Production Planning Manager.

This position is mainly located in Alwar, Rajasthan.

What You’ll Do

• Customer Demand management, Planning in line with latest date from Sales / Marketing.
• Planning (Material procurement, In-house manufacturing & to ensure OTD to Customers) - Procurement to shipment - Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal departments for ensuring that required inputs are available on time.
• Prepare Month Production Plan & Dispatch Plan to be followed with daily Progress
• Capacity Planning. Work with Engineering (design), Production and Procurement to ensure uniform loading of production capacities. Responsible for SAP PPDS Planning make up to date & reliable.
• Material requirement planning, MRP Run, PR Creation, Pick list /material reservation slip, Opening & Closing of manufacturing production orders, Scheduling of the Production Orders within 2 Days time as per Mould & Press Availability.
• Reviews: - Material shortages, Over all inventory, WIP, Productivity & Other BI reports
• Plans & Schedule workflow or each Manufacturing Sections/Work Centers and Operation accordingly to previous established manufacturing sequences, Standards & Lead Times.
• Responsible for maintaining the Lead Time withing set Limits by close co- ordination with Customer Order Engineering(COE), Procurement, Store & Logistics, Production & Quality Assurance.
• Close coordination with Logistics for timely Dispatch of Ready orders by pre intimation to book the shipments as per Production Plan
• Understanding standard cost calculation in SAP.
• MIS report to be prepared.
• Good Knowledge of SAP S4 HANA & worked earlier in these SAP Modules MUST.

Who You Are

• Engineering Degree from any stream.
• Minimum 3 : 5 years’ experience in Production Planning in any industry sector
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in SAP
• Should be Excellent in Microsoft – Ms Excel, Word & Power Point
• Working on – MS Outlook, MS Teams
• Experience in SAP HANA PP & MM Module MUST
• Good Communication Skills
• Driver and self-starter
