IGT in Chennai is seeking a skilled Node.js developer to design and build scalable server-side applications using ExpressJS or KoaJS. You will implement RESTful APIs, work with modern JavaScript, and ensure robust performance across devices.

We expect strong experience with HTML5/CSS3, SQL/NoSQL databases, JWT/OAuth authentication, and testable code using Chai or Mocha. You’ll collaborate with product and QA teams to deliver secure, responsive web solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with Node.js and asynchronous patterns (callbacks, promises, async/await).
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript with a modern JS framework (Angular preferred).
• Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs and web security basics.
• Familiarity with JWT/OAuth authentication flows and secure coding practices.
• Experience with testing using Chai, Mocha or similar frameworks.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Node.js and asynchronous programming patterns (callbacks, promises, async/await), with familiarity in building server-side applications using ExpressJS or KoaJS
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with solid experience in at least one modern JS framework (preferably Angular)
• Experience in working with SQL and/or No‑SQL databases.
• Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs and understanding of HTTP, authentication (JWT, OAuth), and web security best practices.
• Experience with building web applications that work on various mobile devices, and have all the tenets of a progressive web application (Responsive, Secure, Fast, Connectivity Independent, App‑like)
• Understanding of web application performance optimization, such as lazy loading, caching, code splitting, and reducing load times.
• Experience in writing testable codes and using unit test tools like Chai, Mocha and Just.
• Should have a problem‑solving mindset: Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to debugging and troubleshooting
• Detailed, clear and consistent communication, both verbal and written, with project stakeholders
