Job summary

Hyosungtndindia in Pune seeks an Engineer/Senior Engineer-Secondary Design to develop schematics for control and protection panels, LCCs and SAS, and ensure compliance with project specifications for HV substations.

You will apply IEC/IEEE standards, contribute interlocking logic design, and collaborate with site teams; proficiency in AutoCAD or EPLAN is required for schematic and panel design.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech in Electrical Engineering required.
• 4–8 years experience in switchgear industry.
• Knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards.
• Familiarity with protection & control equipment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or EPLAN.

Responsibilities

• Prepare schematics for control and protection panels, LCCs, interlocking logic, and SAS.
• Develop manufacturing documents per project specifications for HV substations.
• Interpret IEC/IEEE standards for HV and LV switchgear and control gear.
• Design interlocking logic for switchgear and BCUs.
• Coordinate with site teams and clients to gather inputs for final engineering documents.
• Maintain knowledge of catalogue items used in LCC, CRP, and SAS panels.

• Understand operating mechanisms for circuit breakers, disconnector switches, and earth switches.

Job description

Engineer/Senior Engineer-Secondary Design

• Preparation of schematics for control and protection panels, Local Control Cubicles (LCC),interlocking logic, and Substation Automation Systems (SAS).
• Develop associated manufacturing documents and ensure compliance with projectspecifications for high voltage substations.
• Interpret and apply relevant IEC/IEEE standards for both high voltage (HV) and low voltage(LV) switchgear and control gear.
• Proficient in switchgear systems, protection relays, and Bay Control Units (BCUs), includinginterlocking logic design.
• Liaise with site teams and clients to gather design inputs and incorporate into finalengineering documents.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of catalogue items used in LCC, CRP (Control & Relay Panels),and SAS panels.
• Utilize AutoCAD or EPLAN software (preferably version 2.9) for schematic and panel designwork.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of various operating mechanisms for circuit breakers,disconnector switches, and earth switches

Requirements

• Qualification: B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 4 to 8 years in switchgear industry.
• Technical Skills:o Sound understanding of IEC/IEEE standards.
• Familiarity with protection & control equipment and their logical interfaces.
