Job summary

Qualcomm India is hiring as part of its Modem-RF Wireless Software team. You will design and validate embedded and cloud edge software, develop drivers for modem-RF transceivers, and work closely with RF hardware, baseband, and test engineers to enhance system performance.

We seek individuals with strong C/C++, embedded RTOS experience, and knowledge of wireless tech (LTE/5G). A Bachelor's in ECE or related field is required; Master's preferred. Excellent teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong C programming skills with understanding of RF and communications.
• C and/or C++ programming and debugging on embedded RTOS.
• Knowledge of wireless communications (LTE, 5G) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify and validate embedded and cloud edge software and drivers for Modem-RF wireless chipsets.
• Collaborate with RF, hardware, and test teams to improve system performance and RF testability.
• Develop Modem-RF driver expertise and investigate RF/modem issues in a cross-functional environment.
• Deliver features in collaboration with RF & Modem Systems and hardware teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualcomm is looking for Modem-RF Wireless SW engineers at levels with 0-3 yrs of experience, with knowledge of RF and Digital Communications. The candidate will develop and validate the software for Qualcomm's Modem-RF Wireless chipsets.

The Modem-RF Software Team at Qualcomm India:

Develops drivers for the leading Modem-RF Transceivers in close collaboration with RF Hardware, Modem/Baseband and RF ASIC teams. This is at the core of the Qualcomm’s Communication System solution.

Creates, Develops and Optimizes Modem and RF Transceiver and Antenna / RF Front End algorithms and Software modules to improve System performance, Factory yields and RF Testability.

Provide Modem-RF Driver expertise to investigations of complex RF and Modem issues in a cross-functional Hardware / Software working environment.

Works closely with the physical layer teams in delivering new features to keep Qualcomm Modem performance competitive in the evolving marketplace.

Collaborates closely with RF & Modem Systems, Hardware and Test Engineering during the cycles of product development.

Education Requirements

Masters or Bachelor's in Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent

Minimum / Preferred Qualifications

The position requires strong C programming skills with an understanding of RF and/Or Communications systems. The candidate should have the knowledge of digital communications and RF theory. An understanding of embedded real time systems is desired. Experience in LTE or 5G wireless systems is a plus. Must have good communication skills and be a team player.

C and/Or C++ Software Programming and Debugging skills on Embedded real time operating systems/RTOS.

Should have a good understanding of the Software Engineering concepts.

Requires a good understanding of the Wireless communication system.

Knowledge of wireless communication in any of the radio access technologies (e.g. LTE, 5GNR, etc.) is a plus.
