Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking an electrical engineering professional to develop RF systems for cellular applications from concept to customer sampling. The role involves coordinating with ASIC designers, system engineers, and the applications team to model, simulate, and troubleshoot RF subsystems.

Ideal candidates will have advanced degrees in EE, hands‑on experience with RF architectures, and proficiency in Python and MATLAB for modeling and analysis.

Qualifications

• Master's in Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years’ experience, or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience and expertise in RF systems and cellular standards is a strong plus.
• Experience using and automating mobile standards test equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop IC specifications and system algorithms with ASIC designers and System Engineers.
• Present to technical audiences and write technical reports; contribute to chipset integration of HW/SW/Firmware.
• Bring up complex system level features with cross‑functional teams and ecosystem.
• Perform sustaining efforts for ongoing chip designs including spreadsheet/Matlab analysis.

General Summary: QCT's RF Systems team is in search of candidates to develop and support RF Systems for cellular phone applications (5G-NR, mmW, LTE, UMTS, CDMA, GSM, Wifi) from concept phase to customer sampling. This system is comprised of Modem, RFIC, SW, FW and HW. The successful candidate will:

• Develop IC specifications and system algorithms working with ASIC designers and System Engineers.
• Present to technical audiences and write technical reports. Actively contribute to chipset integration of HW/SW/Firmware.
• Bring up complex system level features co‑working with the eco‑system.
• Perform sustaining efforts for on‑going chip designs including spreadsheet/Matlab analysis.
• Support Applications Engineering team to solve complex RF System issues seen on customer platforms.

Minimum Qualifications (Advanced):

• Master's in Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years’ experience, or PhD in Electrical Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience and expertise in at least one of the following areas:
  • Cellular transceiver architectures
  • RF front‑end architectures
  • Cellular handset design
  • RF circuit design
  • System modeling and mitigation of RF impairments
  • PA system design and efficiency enhancement techniques

• Experience in Python and/or MATLAB, ADS, HFSS simulation tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Passion for learning and intellectual curiosity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to efficiently interact with multiple teams.
