Job summary

Eaton India Innovation Center in Pune seeks a Senior Engineer - Reliability to lead reliability activities for electrical product programs. You will drive Design for Reliability, plan life testing, perform PoF analyses, and guide risk mitigation with FRACAS and structured data analytics.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Electrical/Electronics with strong reliability experience, plus familiarity with industry standards and tools such as MIL-HDBK-217F, FRACAS, and Minitab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and relevant reliability knowledge.
• Strong exposure to DfR processes and life data analysis.
• Experience with FRACAS and failure data to derive life metrics.
• Familiarity with MIL-HDBK-217F, NPRD and Telcordia reliability standards.
• Industry tools: Sherlock, Reliasoft, BlockSim, Minitab a plus.
• DFSS GB/ASQ-CRE certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Design for Reliability (DFR) in electrical product development without schedule impact.
• Influence design by introducing novel ideas to mitigate reliability risks.
• Develop PoF-based reliability assessments for electrical/electronic products and cooling systems.
• Plan and conduct reliability life testing using internal labs and external agencies.
• Create data analytics-based reliability life modeling solutions from test data.
• Reduce warranty defects via burn-in optimization and FRACAS/Red X methods.
• Create/revise DFR deliverables: goals, predictions, FMEA, ALT, RDT, growth analysis, FRACAS for NPIs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on NPIs and product improvements; manage risk mitigation.
• Plan milestones, reviews, stakeholder communications, and mentor juniors.
