Job summary

Tricord Business Group is seeking a QA/Metrology Auditor in Chandigarh to lead dock audits, PPAP processing, and supplier inspections. The role requires hands-on metrology experience and readiness to travel up to 50% for on-site verifications.

You will review documentation, support 8D issues, and help develop robust control plans with suppliers, ensuring parts meet stringent quality standards across local sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering degree.
• 2–5 years’ experience with metrology equipment like CMMs, height gauges, profilometers, micrometers, etc.
• Mini-tab experience preferred.
• Quality inspection experience required.
• Up to 50% travel may be required for on-site inspections.

Responsibilities

• Create and process Dock Audits.
• Create and process PPAP documents.
• Track and manage local supplier cycle times on request.
• Provide video reviews of new local suppliers when required.
• Inspect PPAP samples at local suppliers.
• Inspect Production parts per AQL at local suppliers.
• Review documents and revert back to supplier with corrections.
• Provide 8D capability as needed.
• Support suppliers with technical guidance.
• Collaborate with suppliers to build Gantt charts and robust Control Plans.
• Join Teams meetings as needed (Huddles).
• Report dock audit activities to the engineering team.
• Perform supplier and process audits in the local area.
• Schedule inspections outside the local area.
• Perform document control tasks such as print control.
