Job summary

Arm's Solutions Engineering team is at the forefront of silicon implementation, delivering robust sign-off flows for PDN, EM/IR, and STA on advanced nodes. We design methods that balance accuracy and yield, translating R&D concepts into practical, scalable solutions across global teams.

You will contribute to challenging sign-off methodologies, support data-driven analysis, and collaborate with EDA partners to drive high-quality results while exploring 2.5D/3D integration and wide-ranging tool

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of proven ASIC Implementation, EM/IR, PDN, Physical design and STA experience on advanced process nodes.
• Exposure to IC design flow from RTL to GDS2 and experience with sign-off flows.
• Proactive problem solver with initiative and collaborative mindset for international teams.
• Experience crafting and adopting silicon implementation techniques and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop challenging electrical sign-off methodologies balancing accuracy and yield on silicon.
• Work on PDN sign-off methodologies, static and dynamic power analysis, EM/ESD analysis.
• Develop and deploy new methodologies to improve implementation efficiency and results.
• Support and develop data-mining and analysis methods for implementation data.
• Convert R&D concepts into practical implementation solutions and enable partners.

Job Overview

Arm's Solutions Engineering we are not just crafting sophisticated SoCs, but we are defining future chip design techniques. Not only do we improve the power, performance and system integration of our products, but we also craft the design flows, influence Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and build the knowledge base that makes custom SoC and CPU chip design possible. At Arm, our work goes beyond multiple divisions where we drive improved implementation for Arm and our partners. A key component of this is around the development of comprehensive implementation and analysis methodologies.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will involve developing challenging electrical signoff methodologies. These methodologies will balance accuracy and yield on silicon.

The following are the immediate challenges we will be working on as a team:

• We will develop robust flows & Methodologies to support PDN Sign-Off Methodologies on the latest nodes and applying the latest SoC 2.5D and 3D technologies.
• Work on some of the Sign-Off methodologies like Static, Dynamic Power Distribution analysis, Electro-migration, ESD Analysis etc.
• Develop and deploy new methodologies to improve implementation efficiency and results.
• Support and develop detailed implementation analysis and data-mining methodologies.
• Converting R&D concepts into real implementation solutions.
• Enable our partners to achieve the best possible quality of results.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelors or Master’s degree equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or other relevant technical fields.
• 1-2 years of proven experience in ASIC Implementation, EM IR, PDN, Physical design and STA on advanced process nodes
• Possess a high level of dedicated, initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in crafting and adopting new silicon implementation techniques and methodologies and promote their use with international teams
• Previous experience in and knowledge of the entire IC design flow, from RTL through to GDS2.
• Experience working closely in top and block level Design Implementation and Sign-off flows.
• Proven programming and scripting skills eg. Tcl, Perl, Python, Make

Nice To Have Skills and Experience

• Knowledge around Arm based SoCs!
• Experience with a wide range of programming, scripting & data presentation languages Eg. Tcl, sh, csh, make, R, C, C++, Java, JS, HTML, Perl, Python, Ruby.
• Experience with low power design techniques (power gating, voltage/frequency scaling)
