You will be responsible for working as part of a team validating the firmware being developed for a brand new storage controller build. You will interact with the architecture, hardware, firmware, and firmware test teams located in multiple geographies to gain a full understanding of the firmware composition.
You will apply your knowledge of firmware build to define test plans and develop automated test scripts using industry-standard and internal test tools and platforms. You will coordinate the running of automated tests within a firmware continuous integration environment that uses software simulation and an FPGA platform. You will prioritize failures, submit bug reports, and support development teams in isolating issues.
Furthermore, you will identify opportunities to improve engineering efficiency, test coverage, and productivity through AI-enabled ways of working. You will leverage approved AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude Code, and other Micron-supported AI solutions to accelerate test development, automate analysis and reporting, improve debugging workflows, and generate insights from validation data. You will apply AI responsibly and securely in accordance with Micron’s AI governance and appropriate-use guidelines while continuously exploring new AI-driven approaches to enhance engineering effectiveness.
Position requires at least a Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, along with knowledge of hardware.
