Job summary

Ayr designs and manufactures critical power grid equipment including power transformers, distribution transformers, special-purpose transformers, high-voltage circuit breakers, and medium-voltage switchgear. They serve markets such as renewables, data centers, utilities, oil & gas, and industrial sectors.

As a Drafting Engineer – Mechanical, you will perform 2D/3D CAD design with tolerances and manufacturability, define clearances, and derive 2D–3D models to meet manufacturing needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in 2D/3D modelling of parts and assemblies.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as CREO, SOLIDWORKS or CATIA.
• Good knowledge of GD&T and ISO GPS standards.
• Ability to derive 2D to 3D and 3D to 2D models based on manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform drafting and design of components and assemblies of circuit breaker.
• Understand and define manufacturing tolerances and clearances of HVCB parts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify product and tests.
• Draft and design basic components with proper tolerancing, dimensioning and manufacturability.
• Define parts clearances for manufacturing and derive multi‑view drawings.

Job description

As a Drafting Engineer – Mechanical, you shall be able to do:

• The basic Mechanical component and assembly design in any 2D or 3D CAD tool with proper tolerancing, dimensioning and manufacturability.
• Define the parts and its clearances for manufacturing
• Able to derive 2D to 3D and 3D to 2D models based on the manufacturing requirements.
• Ability to define and adapt GD&T as per the process and tool.

Responsibilities:

As a Drafting Engineer – Mechanical, you shall:

• Perform drafting and design of components and assemblies of circuit breaker.
• Understand and define the manufacturing tolerances and clearances of HVCB parts
• Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 3-5 Years of experience in design involving 2D and 3D modelling of parts and assemblies.
• Proficiency in drafting tools such as CREO, SOLIDWORKS, CATIA etc.,
• Good knowledge on GD&T, ISO GPS.
• Ability to work closely with cross-functional team to guide and support them on basic clarifications regarding product and tests.
