Job summary

Honda India Power Products Ltd. is seeking an Engineer-Maintenance & Utility (Utilities) to ensure trouble-free operation of utility equipments within the plant.

The role involves planning and implementing utility projects, operating DGs and air systems, and monitoring energy and environmental parameters. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering with 4-6 years (Diploma) or 2-4 years (Degree) of relevant experience, and will perform safety audits, statutory

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 4-6 years experience for Diploma holders; 2-4 years for Degree holders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement utility projects.
• Operate and maintain DG, air compressor, air drier; analyze B/D, plan consumables and spares.
• Prepare AMC proposals and monitor them.
• Carry out audits and corrective actions for electrical safety (earthing, dehydration, IE rules calibration).
• Prepare MIS on power, fuel, water and environment parameters; sample and monitor.
• Ensure statutory electrical safety and environmental compliance; supervise plant electrical installations.
• Maintain and report on earthing pits and lightning arrestor; compile IE rule reports.
• Support energy-saving projects and energy management.

Job Purpose

To ensure trouble free operation of Utility equipments.

Key Responsibilities

• Utility Project related planning and implementation.
• Operation & maintenance of DG, Air Compressor, Air Drier, analysis of B/D, Consumables & spares planning.
• AMC proposal preparation & monitoring.
• Audits & corrective actions related to electrical safety (Earthing, Dehydration, Calibration of HT/ LT equipment)
• MIS preparation of Power & fuel, water & environment parameters (sampling & monitoring).
• Statutory compliances related to Electrical safety & Environment
• Supervision of electrical installation work in the plant.
• 100 % Electrical safety checking and compliances as per check sheets and IE Rules
• 100 % Environmental statutory compliances, Returns, Consents renewals as per schedule
• Implementation of Utility Projects as per schedule
• Summary & Maintenance of earthing pits & lightning arrestor (half-yearly report)
• Checking & compilation of reports for electrical equipment as per IE rules
• Preparation of Monthly status of statutory compliance (Electricity Act).
• Energy Saving projects planning & implementation.
