Job summary

Talent Hired-the Job Store is seeking an experienced maintenance engineer to ensure safe, reliable and continuous availability of engine test facilities. You will proactively maintain, monitor and troubleshoot test-cell equipment, utilities and automation systems to minimize downtime during engine testing and development activities.

The role requires hands-on fault finding, root-cause analysis and the ability to read electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and control schematics.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on fault finding and troubleshooting capability.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and control schematics.
• Experience with industrial electrical systems and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high availability and operational readiness of engine test cells and associated equipment
• Minimize test interruptions and facility downtime through proactive maintenance and timely troubleshooting
• Monitor equipment health and identify potential failures before they impact testing
• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance plans for test-cell equipment and its services
• Plan and execute periodic calibration (internal/External)
• Maintain maintenance schedules, checklists and equipment history
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and restore test-cell operation within minimum possible time
• Perform root-cause analysis for recurring and critical failures and implement corrective actions
• Coordinate with OEMs and service providers for specialized equipment maintenance
• Maintain electrical panels, motors, VFDs, UPS systems and associated electrical infrastructure
• Ensure proper functioning and periodic verification of safety interlocks, gas detection, fire protection, ventilation and emergency shutdown systems
• Provide maintenance support during critical engine testing, durability testing, emissions testing
• Perform Supplier Management, Spare Inventory, Continual Improvement ,5S and applicable audit preparations

Role purpose

Essential skills

• Strong hands-on fault finding and troubleshooting capability, Ability to diagnose equipment failures systematically
• Good understanding of root-cause analysis & problem-solving techniques
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and control schematics
• Good knowledge of industrial electrical systems, AVL PUMA, IASYS test systems, Eddy /Transient Dynamometers
• Strong maintenance planning, troubleshooting and reliability skills with a focus on minimizing downtime. Analytical, proactive and ownership-driven, with effective cross-functional communication and ability to work under pressure

Preferred experience

• Experience in engine test facilities, automotive R&D, powertrain testing or industrial maintenance
• Hands-on experience in dynamometers, test-cell equipment, electrical systems, instrumentation and PLC/automation
• Experience in maintaining facility utilities such as compressors, exhaust extraction and fuel/gas supply systems
• Experience in breakdown troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, RCA, equipment commissioning and vendor coordination
