Job summary

AECOM India Private Limited is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead civil projects for large-scale facilities, data centres, offices, airports and transit. You will work with a planning and design team, providing guidance, technical expertise and client coordination.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong knowledge of Indian codes, and familiarity with Sewer Gem, Water GEM, Civil 3D and GIS tools. A hybrid work model is offered in Mumbai with global support from a Fortune 500 firm.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience on large projects (cultural buildings, high rises, airports, etc.).
• Undergraduate degree in Civil engineering; master’s preferred.
• Knowledge of Indian codes is mandatory; US/BS/Eurocodes a plus.
• Experience with site grading, drainage, sanitary systems, road design, and utilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering projects from concept to design and documentation.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and clients.
• Prepare design calculations and drawings; ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage project timelines and deliverables.
• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.

Job Description

AECOM India is seeking talented Engineers for Civil Engineering practice. Candidates for the Senior Civil Engineer position should have experience in medium to large size projects such as cultural buildings, high rises, office buildings, airports, transit, health care and research facility design preferably in a consulting engineering firm environment. The Engineer will have to be self-starters and are required to work with only high-level direction and guidance from seniors on projects.

Responsibilities:

• 5+ years of experience with projects similar in function, size and scope to the description above.
• Project experience in datacentre, commercial, residential, retail, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, aviation sectors will be helpful.
• Undergraduate degree (master’s preferred) in Civil engineering/Hydraulics or related field.
• Knowledge on Site Grading Layouts, site development work, Design of Storm water drainage layouts, sanitary sewer system, Underground gravity drainages, chemical sewer system, tankage area layout, Asphalt and Concrete Road & RC Pavement and preparation of Road layouts.
• Knowledge on design of Electrical substation related structure and foundation.
• Knowledge of Indian codes is mandatory. Familiarity with US, BS, Eurocodes is a plus.
• Working knowledge of current industry software, including Sewer Gem, Water GEM, Civil 3D, Arc GIS and Hec RAS/ HEC-HMS
• Willingness for programming, macros & Excel design sheets is desirable, though not mandatory.
• Interest in working with Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo, Python coding will be a big plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Client communication and interaction skills will be preferred.
• Time management and people management skills will be valuable.
