Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience in Aerospace Domain preferably exposure to New Product Development.
  • Good Understanding of Aerodynamics and Behaviour of Aircraft Structure.
  • Hands-on experience with ENOVIA VPM/Team Center or similar PDM/PLM.
  • B.E/B.Tech with 2-5 Years experience or M.E/M.Tech with 0-2 years experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV).
  • Generate Conceptual designs and Perform validation techniques.
  • Interact with Manufacturing team to optimize the design.

Job description

W e are a start-up based out of Bengaluru & Delhi NCR. We are engaged in development of next generation missions and technologies (NGM&T) towards future warfare needs of the Indian defence forces. It is undertaking research towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic swarms. NRT’s product development portfolio includes a solar power stratospheric high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) unmanned platform and an air/ground launched stand-off autonomous system.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Design and Development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)
  • Understand System requirements and Layout the Baseline Design
  • Generate Conceptual designs and Perform validation techniques to select Best Optimal Design
  • Selection of Materials for Composite and Metallic parts
  • Hand Calculations, Preliminary Sizing through basic FE Analysis
  • Build Assemblies and Perform Stack-up Analysis
  • Interact with Manufacturing team to optimize the design for better producibility and to solve the Manufacturing issues
  • Design Mold/Tooling/Fixtures for Component Manufacturing
Must have skills
  • Experience in Aerospace Domain preferably exposure to New Product Development and able to work in Fast paced environment
  • Good Understanding of Aerodynamics and Behaviour of Aircraft Structure in response to Static and Dynamic Loads
  • Experience in Designing Structural Components like Wing and Fuselage of Aircraft
  • Knowledge of CAD/FEA Tools like Catia/Solidworks, Ansys/MSC Nastran
  • Performing Hand Calculations and Linear Static Analysis
  • Good Experience of ASME drafting standards and application of GD&T.
  • Performing Stack-Up Analysis to verify Clash/Clearances in Assembly
  • Hands-on experience with ENOVIA VPM/ Team Center or similar PDM/ PLM.
  • Experience in Product development using DFM and DFA Principles
  • Good Problem Solving and Analytical thinking skills
  • Should be able to communicate with internal customers on the technical requirements, be able to discuss, participate and negotiate in finalizing technical requirements and acceptance methodologies
  • Good communication skills (Verbal and Written)
  • Should have an ability to articulate thought process to the Project stakeholders
Good to have skills
  • Knowledge/Experience in Product Design in Unmanned combat aerial vehicles.
  • Understanding of Aeroelasticity (Manoeuvre Loads computation, Flutter and Gust)
  • Programming Languages MATLAB, Python/C++ for parametric analysis Design and FEA
  • B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical/Aeronautical) with 2-5 Years experience or M.E/M.Tech (Mechanical/Aerospace) with 0-2 years experience.
