Job summary

Vertiv Co in Pune seeks a Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer to lead end-to-end development of electronic systems. You will oversee system design, circuit & PCB design, prototype bring-up, and cross-functional collaboration to meet performance, cost, and manufacturing targets from concept to mass production.

The role requires 8+ years in related fields, with at least 3 years in data center or telecom environments, strong analog/digital design, MCUs/FPGA, and EMI/EMC, DVT, and DFx practices;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years’ experience in mission critical facilities with at least 3 years in data center and telecom.
• English language minimum level B1.

Responsibilities

• System Design & Architecture: Lead system-level architecture, hardware specs, component selection, and technical roadmaps.
• Circuit & PCB Design: Digital/analog circuits, schematic capture, multi-layer PCB layout, signal and power integrity analyses.
• Prototyping & Bring-up: Lead prototype bring-up, debugging, system integration, fault troubleshooting.
• Testing & Validation: Develop DVT methodologies, ensure EMC/EMI/Safety compliance.
• Manufacturing Transition: Collaborate on DFM/DFT for mass production.
• Mentorship: Provide coaching and peer reviews to junior engineers.
• Simulation: Ansys EMI/EMC, LTSpice; MATLAB/Ansys as optional.

Brief Job Description: -

Sr. Electronics Hardware Engineer:

• A Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer leads the end-to-end development of electronic systems.
• They manage circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and prototype testing. Acting as a technical lead, they guide junior engineers and ensure designs meet performance, cost, and manufacturing standards from concept to mass production.

Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:

• System Design & Architecture: Lead system-level architecture, determining hardware specifications, component selection, and defining technical roadmaps.
• Circuit & PCB Design: Perform digital and analog circuit design, schematic capture, and oversee multi-layer PCB layout. Conduct signal integrity and power integrity analyses.
• Prototyping & Bring-up: Lead prototype bring-up, debugging, system integration, and fault troubleshooting down to the component level.
• Testing & Validation: Develop test methodologies to conduct Design Verification Testing (DVT) and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., EMC, EMI, and Safety certifications).
• Manufacturing Transition: Collaborate with production teams to implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Testing (DFT) principles.
• Mentorship: Provide technical coaching, design guidance, and peer reviews to junior hardware engineers.
• Simulation: Ansys EMI/EMC solution, LT spice, TINA required to know. MATLB & Ansys will be additional.
• Hardware Knowledge: Deep understanding of microcontrollers, processors, FPGAs, power electronics, and communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet).
• Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills for debugging, failure analysis, and design optimization

Qualifications:

Required/ Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 8+ years’ experience in directly related to mission critical facilities of which at least 3 in data center and telecom
• English language min. B1 level
• Advanced computer skills
