A leading telecommunications firm in Maharashtra is seeking a skilled automation engineer to oversee the design and integration of automation infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Python and Shell scripting, as well as hands-on experience with the Pytest framework. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement system improvements and lead Kubernetes deployments. Experience in RAN testing and a strong focus on automation are essential for success in this key role.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Python and Shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with the Pytest framework.
• Solid experience in 4G/5G testing including different testing types.
• Good understanding of 4G/5G message flows and associated parameters.
• Experience in creating complex test plans and root cause analysis.
• Strong focus on automation and scripting.
• Good understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and basic AWS knowledge.

• Own Automation Infrastructure Design & Integration.
• Gather and integrate requirements from the R&D organization.
• Define major architectural building blocks and lead enhancements.
• Recommend and initiate system improvements and code refactoring.
• Review automation infrastructure design and code developed by engineers.
• Lead implementation of new modules in an optimized manner.
• Take a hands-on role in Kubernetes deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

What you must have

• Strong expertise in Python and Shell scripting
• Hands‑on experience with the Pytest framework
• Solid experience in RAN (4G/5G) testing, including Feature testing, Regression testing, Performance testing
• Good understanding of 4G/5G message flows and associated parameters
• Experience creating complex test plans spanning 4G/5G features and performing root cause analysis
• Strong focus on automation and scripting (high priority for this role)
• Good understanding of Kubernetes (K8s), Docker containers, and basic knowledge of AWS
