Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science or Mechanical Engineering, strong knowledge in sustainability, and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in related tools like EIME and GaBi is preferred.

Qualifications

Vertiv Global Engineering Centre, Pune is looking for an Engineer – Sustainability to support Product Development functions. The role requires experience completing product Life Cycle Assessments and expertise in sustainability requirements and global trends.

Responsibilities

• Build and support completion and maintenance of LCAs for all Vertiv products.
• Develop subject‑matter expertise and ensure sound engineering protocols are followed for Life Cycle and Embodied Carbon analyses.
• Proficient use of EIME, LCA for Experts, Ecoinvent, CIBSE TM65.
• Apply Reduce, Reuse, Recycle principles in design activities.
• Manage multiple projects and maintain progress updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in sustainability and Life Cycle Assessment practices.
• Strong knowledge of eco‑design, product LCA and embodied carbon assessments.
• Knowledge of ISO 14040, ISO 14044, ISO 14025, Environmental Product Declarations, PEP‑EcoPassport.
• Life‑Cycle Assessment Professional certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of product lifecycle management platforms (Oracle, SAP, etc.) a plus.
• Experience with GaBi LCA tool, LCI databases such as Ecoinvent, ELCD, or Sphera database.
• Familiarity with product bill of materials and full material declarations.
• Ability to analyze regulations and interpret technical data for product and technology teams.
• Understanding of tools and methodologies for eco‑design aspects of products, processes and technology.
• Quick learner and results‑oriented, delivering high‑quality deliverables.
• Ability to execute and coordinate multiple activities independently.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication in English.
