Job summary

ideaForge in Navi Mumbai seeks a seasoned QA & Compliance Engineer to plan and execute testing for UAS products, ensuring alignment with MIL/IEC standards. You will collaborate with Lab Managers, prepare test plans from regulatory documents, and identify risks in audits while coordinating inventory for certification processes.

The role requires strong English communication, independent work ability, and a background in electrical or mechanical engineering with 5–7 years in testing/certification,

Qualifications

• Experience with military and international standards testing and verification.
• Ability to interpret standards for UAS systems and apply to tests.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Experience leading small teams and conducting audits.
• Familiarity with tender/ scheme documents and regulatory requirements.

Test Independently

• Plan and execute all involved testing & compliance verifications as per test standards/test protocols from users at test laboratories.
• Active involvement in collaborating with Lab Manages/in-charge to explain the product functionality, test requirements and test executions.
• Understanding of standards requirements & prepare test plan to facilitate use case scenarios of equipment under test.

Cross-Functional Engagement

• Work with internal stakeholders to obtain an in-depth understanding of the Products, test requirements.
• Generate the requirement proposals and execution plan along with budgetary & timeline requirements.
• Active Involvement in taking the responsibilities and identifying the risks in internal and external Audits.

Standards & Compliance

• Maintain ‘Master database’ for all standards, test procedures & requirements. From time to time obtain copies of standards & maintain up-to-date regulations database.
• Study & understand Tender Documents, Scheme Documents & Directives/Regulations generate test requirements proposal & obtain agreements with internal stakeholders

Sustainability & Accountability

• Take up responsible for PRs and coordination with the accounts / finance team from project initiation to closure.
• Maintain/Record inventory management of (EUT) taken for certification & testing.
• Active involvement to provide suggestions / recommendations for regulatory requirements (UAS Schemes, BIS, etc).
• Identification of international & national standards for civil & military as per company''s product requirements.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong Knowledge of JSS 55555/5855, MIL-STD 461, MIL STD 810 relevant military standards
• Strong Knowledge of IEC/IS 60068 Series, IS 13252, IS 616, IS 16046 series product testing.
• Understanding of IEC/ISO/EN Standards & their interpretation for UAS systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong Interpersonal, Decision Making and Prioritization skills, along with Documentation Skills and Record Keeping.
• Soft skills Proven ability to work independently and lead a small, high-impact team. You should be a persuasive negotiator and a clear communicator.
• Basic Knowledge of Jigs/Fixture development for environmental testing EUT set up.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field).
• Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience in testing/certification background (preferred from Aviation UAS) industry.
