CommScope in Verna, Goa, India is seeking an experienced maintenance/automation specialist to lead controls for Capex projects and manage installations from design to validation.

You will coordinate with system integrators, prepare detailed electrical diagrams and BOMs, and drive continuous improvement for equipment efficiency while upholding safety norms.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Controls & Instrumentation engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years in maintenance/automation in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Added advantage: prior cable manufacturing experience.
• Capex project leadership or external system integrator/vendor coordination experience is desirable.

Aufgaben

• Lead controls scope for Capex projects from concept to commissioning and validation.
• Direct external system integrators and vendors to align new lines with standards and IT/OT architecture.
• Create, update, maintain electrical schematics, panel layouts, system architectures, and BOMs.
• Execute projects based on SPC data.
• Support development of SPMs to improve operational efficiency.
• Follow all safety norms and ensure no violations.
• Provide engineering support to close breakdown calls and maximize machine uptime.
• Participate in continuous improvement to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce costs.

• Education: Bachelor/Diploma degree in Electrical/Electronic/Controls & Instrumentation engineering or a related field.
• Skills:
• Troubleshooting Electromechanical control systems equipment (Continuous manufacturing equipment)
• Communications – (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus) – Diagnose complex communication & troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Electrical power systems (transformers, DG, Motors, CB, Distribution systems...etc.)
• ABC/VED Analysis
• RCA & FMEA
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic & Pneumatic System troubleshooting
• Understands Power & Control system drawings
• Experience: Minimum 5-7 years in maintenance/automation within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Added advantage Previous experience in Cable manufacturing Added Advantage

The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining manufacturing equipment within their scope in optimal condition at all times

It includes carrying out tasks as follows

• Lead the controls scope for capital expenditure (Capex) projects, managing automation installations from initial concept and panel design through to commissioning and validation.
• Direct external system integrators and equipment vendors to ensure new production lines align seamlessly with factory standards and IT/OT architecture.
• Create, update, and maintain detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts, system architectures, and bills of materials (BOM)
• Projects to be executed based on SPC (statistical process control) data.
• Support development of SPMs to improve operational Efficiency
• Following all the safety norms and ensuring no norms are violated in any process.
• Provide Engineering support to close Breakdown Calls efficiently and maintain Maximum Machine Uptime
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce operational costs.
