Responsibilities include executing formwork operations for columns, beams, slabs and walls, interpreting drawings, coordinating with structural teams, planning work fronts, monitoring cycle times and productivity, tracking materials, and ensuring inspections during erection

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering (DCE) or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with formwork systems and site execution.
• Ability to read and interpret formwork drawings and structural drawings.

Responsibilities

• Execute and supervise formwork operations for columns, beams, slabs and walls.
• Review formwork drawings and coordinate with structural teams for accuracy.
• Plan work fronts with project engineers and ensure formwork readiness per schedule.
• Monitor formwork cycle times and labour productivity; address delays with actionable fixes.
• Track daily formwork material usage and support reuse/reconciliation.
• Conduct inspections during erection and de-shuttering to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality.

Job Description

The Engineer - Formwork - Site is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the formwork activities at the project site. The role ensures that all formwork systems are executed safely, accurately, and efficiently in alignment with project timelines, structural drawings, and quality standards. The incumbent supports the site team in formwork layout, erection, dismantling, material tracking, and productivity monitoring, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and cycle time benchmarks.

• Execute and supervise formwork operations for various structural elements such as columns, beams, slabs, and walls.
• Review and interpret formwork drawings and coordinate with structural teams for execution accuracy
• Plan and allocate work fronts in coordination with project engineers and ensure formwork readiness as per construction schedule.
• Monitor formwork cycle times and labour productivity; elevate delays or bottlenecks with recommendations.
• Track daily usage, movement, and availability of formwork materials; support reuse and reconciliation efforts.
• Conduct inspections during erection and de-shuttering to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
