Job summary

Eaton invites an experienced filtration engineering specialist to join the engineering center in Pune. You will design, develop and sustain industrial, hydraulic and life science filters, delivering robust solutions for global markets.

You will produce proposals, drawings and BOMs, guide quality improvements, prepare design documents to ASME/EN standards, and work with international teams to push innovations.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachler or master's degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering with 5+ years of experience in technology development, engineering, or similar functions.
• Experience in filtration design is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating technical proposals, manufacturing drawings / BOMs for filter solutions, elements, tools as well as the necessary product documentation.
• Engineering responsibility under guidance to resolve production non-conformance, quality issues, and RCAs.
• Prepare design documents based on ASME, PeD and EN standards for pressure vessels.
• Contribute on tasks based on development of new products based on market / customer needs.
• Support development of product sizing and selection tools, as well as development and / or enhancement of standard working procedures.
• Work closely and collaboratively with global engineering teams.
• Completes other engineering related assignment as directed.

What you’ll do:

This role is part of Filtration engineering team at Eaton innovation center in Pune. The primary responsibilities will include design, development and sustenance engineering of industrial, hydraulic and life science filters

Qualifications:

• A Bachler or master's degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering discipline with 5+ years of experience in technology development, engineering, or similar functions. Experience in filtration design is preferred.

Skills:

• Requires in depth knowledge of pressure vessel design and mechanical calculations. Exposure to process design, and filter design is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of engineering process needs in design and operations, key business drivers and industry practices
• Excellent communication skills and able to communicate concepts and design effectively.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to prioritize and communicate clearly to stake holders.
• Strong solid modelling skills in software like Creo or solid works.
• Ability to work in a deadline driven work environment, attention to detail, and multitasking are essential.
• Affinity with filtration and/or separation as essential technology in process industry
• An ability to work in an international environment with functional teams spread over various regions including corresponding willingness to travel
• Self-starter and highly motivated to achieve results under supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, a proficiency in MS Office
