Job summary

SYSTRA India invites experienced Electrical Engineers to join its design team for metro, highways and water projects. You will contribute to design calculations, load schedules, and technical specifications under guidance, collaborating with cross-disciplinary groups.

Candidates should hold a Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering with 5–8 years of experience, including at least 2 years in metro projects. Knowledge of NBC/NFPA/BIS standards and strong communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements and complete duties assigned by Line Manager.
• Analyze documents and propose ideas for review by Line Manager/HOD.
• Perform basic design calculations and finalize load schedules.
• Raise concerns and suggest improvements where appropriate.
• Be aware of NBC, NFPA, ASHRAE, BIS and related codes.
• Participate in meetings, workshops and training sessions.
• Analyze data and write design reports per criteria.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff and show diligence.
• Coordinate design with Architectural, Structure, PM, Highway, Water teams as needed.
• Prepare Technical Specs, BOQ and detailed cost estimates under guidance.

Context

Systra India's design business line is the leading design team for metros, highways, special bridges, Urban Planning and water projects in India. The team has designed over 900 kms of viaduct & Bridges along with 43 kms of tunnels and 82 underground stations, 345 Elevated & at-grade Stations, 19 Depots besides 300 plus stations being designed currently. The team has also completed 3,165 km of highways detail design projects and 22,506 km of design/ feasibility projects. The team has also worked on detailed design for Drainage and Utilities, design of WTP and STP etc.

We are also very proud to have designed the first monopile in India for the Mumbai Coastal Road project. We have the distinction of designing the fastest implemented metro project in the country with Lucknow and now have broken the record in Kanpur Metro. Apart from Indian projects the team also provides design services to projects as far as Philippines in the east to Columbia in the West.

We are also conversant with BIM (Building Information Modelling) which enhances all stages of the infrastructure life cycle, from design to construction and maintenance, which is why we integrate it into our projects and offer it to our clients. Our design team has extensive exposure to both domestic and international markets, contracts, codes and specification.

Missions/Main Duties

• Understanding project requirements and completing all duties assigned by the Line Manager.
• Analysis of available documents and give new ideas to be examined by Line manager/HOD.
• All basic design calculations including the finalization of load schedule.
• Raising concerns and making suggestions for improvement where appropriate.
• Aware about the latest codes and Standards like NBC, NFPA, ASHRAE, BIS etc.
• Participating in meetings and attending workshops and other training initiatives.
• Analyzing data and writing design reports according to design criteria.
• Establishing professional relationships with staff and maintaining a high degree of professionalism and diligence.
• Design co-ordination within and with other disciplines such as Architectural, Structure, Project Management, Highway, Water etc. as per project requirement.
• Preparation of Technical Specs, BOQ and Detailed cost estimation under guidance from line manager.

Profile/Skills

• Shall be Graduate in Electrical Engineering with 5-8 year of exp and at least 2-year metro experience.
