Job summary

Quest Global in Bengaluru is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support gas and steam turbine projects. You will review components, BOMs, P&ID drawings, and engineering documents, and interact with suppliers to obtain drawings and technical data.

You should have BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering, about 3 years of experience, and familiarity with COMOS, PLM/SAP, and KKS. The role is on-site and offers opportunities to contribute to global engineering programs.

Qualifications

• Around 3 years of experience.
• Knowledge of Gas turbines working principles, P&ID drawings, KKS.
• Basic knowledge of SAP, PLM 2020, MS Office.
• Good writing engineering communication skills and ability to interact with all levels within an engineering organization.
• Ability to understand and adapt to Customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Understand gas/steam turbine mechanical system components.
• Work with mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies and BOM structures.
• Review technical specifications of mechanical components and systems.
• Coordinate with mechanical system engineers to understand components used in engineering workflows.
• Communicate with suppliers/vendors for drawings and technical documents.
• Support PLM/SAP workflows and engineering data management.

Job Profile

• Knowledge of Gas/Steam turbine Mechanical system components
• Knowledge of Mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, and spare parts structures (BOM concepts)
• Experience in understanding technical specifications of mechanical components and systems
• Good communication skills for interacting with Suppliers/vendors for drawings & technical documents
• Ability to coordinate with Mechanical system engineers to understand components used in engineering workflows
• Knowledge of Mechanical standards and practices (ISO/EN/ASME or equivalent) (aligned with general engineering requirements)
• Knowledge in PLM / SAP systems
• Understanding of COMOS
• Understanding of Functional Structure (KKS) and engineering object linkage
• Understanding of spare parts and service structure would be an advantage
