Job summary

Adani Group in Mundra, Gujarat is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Leader to oversee blade production and ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly targets while optimizing schedules and resource use.

You will coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse and Process Engineering; drive adherence to takt time and productivity; lead safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives; manage shift engineers and operators, and push Lean, 5S and TPM to reduce

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, Composite Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
• 6-10 years of experience in manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly blade production targets.
• Monitor production schedules and optimize resource utilization to meet demand.
• Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse and Process Engineering teams for uninterrupted production.
• Drive adherence to takt time, cycle time, and productivity targets.
• Manage blade manufacturing activities including mold prep, layup, resin infusion, curing, demolding, assembly, finishing, and dispatch readiness.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, process parameters, and engineering specifications.
• Drive process stability and reduction of manufacturing defects.
• Ensure FPY and Right First Time targets; lead root cause analyses for quality issues.
• Coordinate with Quality to minimize rework and rejection losses.
• Ensure 100% compliance with EHS standards, PTW requirements, and safety protocols.
• Conduct safety inspections, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
• Lead shift engineers, supervisors, and operators; manage manpower deployment.
• Drive capability development through training, skill matrix improvement, and succession planning.
• Foster employee engagement and performance excellence.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for cycle time reduction, yield enhancement, and cost optimization.
• Support digital manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with SOPs, process parameters, and engineering specifications.
• Drive process stability and reduction of manufacturing defects.

Quality Management

• Ensure First Pass Yield (FPY) and Right First Time (RFT) targets are achieved.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production quality issues.
• Coordinate with Quality team to minimize rework and rejection losses.

Safety, Health & Environment (EHS)

• Ensure 100% compliance with EHS standards, PTW requirements, and safety protocols.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
• Drive Zero Harm culture across production teams.

People Management

• Lead and supervise shift engineers, supervisors, and operators.
• Ensure manpower deployment as per production requirements.
• Drive capability development through training, skill matrix improvement, and succession planning.
• Foster employee engagement and performance excellence.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for cycle time reduction, yield enhancement, and cost optimization.
• Support digital manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives.

Cost & Resource Management

• Monitor material consumption and wastage.
• Optimize labour productivity and equipment utilization.
• Support achievement of annual manufacturing cost reduction targets.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, Composite Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.

Experience

• 6-10 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
