Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior BIM Engineer/Technician in Bengaluru to deliver civil and structural designs for complex multi‑disciplinary projects. You will model buildings in Revit (steel and RCC), prepare detailed drawings, and support design calculations while coordinating with a global team.

You bring a Master’s in Civil/Structural Engineering, strong BIM standards knowledge, and experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and analysis tools. UK client exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Experience as BIM Engineer/Technician with 3D modeling in Revit for buildings (steel and RCC).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of BIM standards and 3D modeling in Revit.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple projects with varying scopes and deadlines.
• Experience with STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE, ROBOT, TEKLA TEDDS preferred.
• Experience on multi-disciplinary projects (Power, Water, Transportation, Buildings) is advantageous.
• Experience delivering detailed design calculations and drawings (AutoCAD or MicroStation) preferred.

About The Opportunity

• Responsible for contributing in a senior role to the efficient and compliant delivery of all civil and structural engineering design on the project, working with and reporting to the Lead Engineer.
• Responsible for ensuring a quality technical design delivery output, technical governance and quality and coordination and interface within a multi‑discipline project team.
• Responsible for day‑to‑day engineering design support, client liaisons in relation to day‑to‑day structural engineering issues with taking design responsibility for parts of the structural design works on the project.

About You

• Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or another relevant Engineering Discipline.
• Proven experience as a BIM Engineer/Technician, with specific expertise in 3D modeling of buildings (both steel and RCC) using Revit software.
• Experience in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling in Revit with knowledge in latest BIM standards.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with engineering principles and construction practices.
• Ability to handle multiple projects with varying scopes and deadlines.
• Experience in analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE, ROBOT, TEKLA TEDDS preferred.
• Experience within civil discipline and experience in delivering complex multi‑disciplinary projects (e.g. Power, Water, Transportation and Buildings) will be an added advantage.
• Experience in preparing design calculations and detailed design reports essential.
• Experience in preparing detailed drawings (AutoCAD or MicroStation) preferred but not essential.
• Experience working for UK clients and in particular NG and other network operators will be an added advantage.
