Job summary

Electrical Research and Development Association (ERDA) in Vadodara is seeking an Engineer for Third Party Inspection with 4+ years of experience in electrical product testing and factory inspections. The role involves extensive travel across India, vendor assessment, and report preparation.

The candidate should have BE/B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics, strong knowledge of standards, and proficiency in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Experience in Third Party Inspection of materials like Transformer, Cable, Conductor and Factory Inspection.
• Experience in Quality control and testing of electrical products such as Transformer, Cable, Conductor, Energy Meter and Switchgears.
• Understanding of National/International relevant Standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials and perform vendor assessment at manufacturing works in India.
• Extensive travel for inspections (minimum 20 days in a month).
• Follow up on outstanding payments from customers.
• Identify and explore potential business opportunities across India.
• Plan, organize, coordinate and execute inspection calls from across India.
• Review inspection reports and prepare reports of conducted inspections.

Experience Description

Minimum 4 years and Maximum 8 years of overall experience.

• Should have Experience of Third Party Inspection of various Material and Factory Inspection and


• Must have experience of Quality control and Testing of Electrical Products like Transformer / Cable / Conductor / Energy Meter /Switchgears. Should have relevant Standard.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inspection of Material and Vendor Assessment at manufacturer works in India.


2. Extensive touring is required for inspection for minimum 20 days in a month.


3. Outstanding payment follow up from customers.


4. To explore potential business opportunity overall in India.


5. Planning, Organisation, Coordination and executing Inspection call from all over India.


6. Inspection report review and report preparation of various inspection done.


7. Working in rotating shift will be required.

Skills required to perform above job effectively

Technical:

1. Have experience of Third Party Inspection of Material like Transformer, Cable, Conductor etc. and Factory Inspection or


2. Must have experience of Quality control and Testing of Electrical Products like Transformer / Cable / Conductor / Energy Meter / Switchgears
