Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Telecommunications engineer to participate in design, development, modification and evaluation of telecom components and processes in complex projects. You will prepare conceptual studies, coordinate development and presentation of material, and apply standard engineering techniques to correlate data and knowledge.

You will collaborate with multiple disciplines on large infrastructure programs, integrating BMS with LonTalk, BACnet and MODBUS TCP/IP and contributing to

Qualifications

• Proficient in BMS integration and vendor protocols (LonTalk, BACnet, MODBUS).
• Knowledge of HVAC components: chillers, AHU, FCU, DX units, pumps, motors.
• Experience with networked systems: structured cabling, servers, CCTV.
• Ability to develop SCADA graphics and process alarms/trends.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will participate in the design, development, modification, and evaluation of telecommunications components and processes. You will help prepare conceptual studies and coordinate development and presentation of material. You will correlate data that will develop your professional knowledge by applying standard telecommunications engineering techniques and criteria.

Major Responsibilities:

• Participates in the design, development,modification and evaluation of Telecommunications componentsand processes
• Compiles, adjusts, and correlates data that willdevelop professional work knowledge andabilities through the application of standardTelecommunications engineering techniques, proceduresand criteria utilizing relevant EngineeringDepartment Procedures (EDPs), designstandards and guides, and Bechtel StandardApplication Programs (BSAPs).
• Provides input to and/or maintains technicallogs and records
• Coordinates work and collaborates with otherengineering disciplines
• Provides direct support to other engineeringdisciplines for Telecommunications related matters
• Coordinates development and presentation ofmaterial when requested
• Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs,reports, or proposals

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficient in BMS architecture to integrate third party systems via existing vendor protocols including, as a minimum, Lon Talk, BACnet and MODBUS TCP/IP.
• Thorough knowledge in handling of HVAC Systems such as CHILLERS, FAHU, AHU, FCU, DX Type Package Units, Split AC Units, Heat Exchangers, Pumps, Motors, Dosing Systems, Compressors,
• Lifts/Elevators, Exhaust Fans for Buildings in Large Infrastructure Projects.
• Designing of multi service network including networking, server systems, structured cabling, telephone systems, access control and CCTV System, PAS systems.
• Development of graphics with SCADA Software for various process applications development, alarms, real time & historical trends.
