Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Highways Engineer to design, check, and deliver a range of highway projects from our Bangalore office. You will lead designers, mentor junior staff, and ensure quality across project delivery while engaging with clients professionally.

The role requires 5–12 years of consultancy experience in international highway projects, strong technical knowledge, and expertise using Civil 3D, ORD, and AutoCAD. Hybrid work arrangements are available, with relocation support where needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed institution.
• 5 to 12 years of relevant consultancy experience in UK, US, or Middle East highway projects and related infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in delivering various stages of highway design, from preliminary design to as-built stages.
• Sound understanding of highway design codes and standards such as DMRB, AASHTO, KSA, Qatar, and UAE standards.
• Experience in the design of grade-separated junctions.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering highway projects.
• Proficiency in highway design software, including Civil 3D, OpenRoads Designer (ORD), and AutoCAD.
• Experience in implementing quality standards and procedures.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

To our continuing expansion, we currently have an opening for a Highways Engineer to support multi-disciplinary projects executed offshore from our Bangalore, India office. Working in a multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers, providing a professional design service to our clients, this is an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to develop their international experience with a world-renowned consultant.

Your role

As part of the Highways team, you will be responsible for the design and checking of a wide range of elements associated with highway projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising designers and drafting staff within projects.

• Liaising with clients in a responsive and customer-focused manner.
