Job summary

CNH Industrial in India is seeking an Engine & ATS Integration Engineer to coordinate the integration of engines and after-treatment systems across AG & CE platforms. You will work with engine manufacturers and internal product teams to ensure compatibility, performance, and compliance.

Responsibilities include supporting installation assessments, system optimization, and lifecycle data exchange, with occasional travel to gain field insights. Strong English and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of diesel engine fundamentals, components, thermodynamic cycles and performance metrics.
• Experience with engine testing for combustion, emissions and performance development.
• Familiarity with fuel injection systems (distributor, inline pumps, common rail).
• Awareness of global emission regulations and ability to interpret relevant legislation.

• Serve as support for engine and ATS integration across AG & CE platforms, tailoring configurations to vehicle applications.
• Collaborate to provide tailored technical guidance based on operating conditions to ensure system performance and quality.
• Support warranty reduction and quality improvement initiatives with internal teams and external partners.
• Coordinate project management activities across Manufacturing, Purchasing, Testing and Quality for engine and ATS initiatives.
• Support engine Product lifecycle management and drawing release.

Job Purpose

The Engine & ATS Integration Engineer supports the integration of engines and after-treatment systems across Agricultural and Construction Equipment platforms. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, the role coordinates technical information with engine manufacturers and internal product teams, contributes to installation assessments, and helps ensure system compatibility, performance, quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as support for engine and after-treatment system (ATS) integration across AG & CE platforms, with the capability to recommend suitable engine and ATS configurations tailored to specific vehicle application requirements.
• Collaborate to support tailored technical guidance based on vehicle operating conditions to ensure system performance and quality.
• Support warranty reduction and quality improvement initiatives in coordination with internal teams and external partners.
• Support project management initiative (Collaboration with different project stakeholders as Manufacturing, Purchasing, testing, Quality etc.) in engine and ATS for ongoing or new projects.
• Support engine Product lifecycle management & drawing release.
• Support all AG & CE product lines and platforms in integrating engines and ATS systems.
• Support technical data exchange between AG & CE teams and engine manufacturers to ensure system compatibility.
• Support robust system performance and lifecycle quality under diverse operating conditions.
• Support initiatives to reduce warranty claims and enhance product quality.
• Maintain structured communication across teams and with engine manufacturers to facilitate informed decision‑making.
• Travel as needed to gain insights into product usage and installation practices.

Experience Required

• Understanding of diesel engine fundamentals, components, thermodynamic cycles, performance metrics, and auxiliary systems.
• Understanding of engine testing for combustion, emissions, and performance development.
• Familiarity with fuel injection systems (distributor, in-line pumps, common rail).
• Knowledge of emission formation, engine parameter influence, and after‑treatment systems.
• Awareness of global emission regulations and ability to interpret relevant legislation.
• Strong academic background.
