Job summary

CNH is seeking an experienced design engineer to develop new products and improve existing ones for the global tractor and agricultural equipment portfolio. The role involves design of parts, subsystems and systems, with emphasis on cost efficiency, manufacturability and reliability.

Cross-functional collaboration is essential to deliver timely design releases and successful project completion. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in product development, with at least 5 years in Compact

Qualifications

• Engineering/Diploma in Mechanical or Agricultural engineering is required.
• 10+ years in product development with minimum 5 years on Compact Tractors (India, Europe, USA).
• Experience in a cross-functional environment; tractor industry preferred and experience on vehicle/structural parts is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Execute new products projects and current products for complete aggregate or part of aggregate; design parts, subsystems and systems.
• Conduct design analysis to ensure cost efficiency, manufacturability and reliability.
• Be an expert in DFMEA, DMU, ECO creation and other design tools.

Job Purpose

Design new products and processes. Improving and maintaining existing products.Work is primarily achievedby an individual. Requiring application of expertise in technical areas to achieve results. Progression withinclassification is reflected by increasing depth of professional knowledge, and ability to influence others. Workin global environment with other engineering and manufacturing locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute new Products projects and Current Products for complete aggregate and or a part of aggregate.This involves design of parts, subsystems and systems.
• Conduct design analysis on components and/or assemblies to assist in the development process byensuring designs are cost efficient, manufacturable, and reliable.
• Expert in DFMEA, DMU, ECO creation and other design tool.
• Conduct Design review with cross functional team.
• Ensure design release timing, quality and cost.
• Communicate with the other engineering personnel to coordinate the interrelated design and assureproject completion.
• Manage complete design release process in TC for prototype and production.
• Provide inputs to Platform on new products and Current products.
• Develop Engineering design project plan along with milestones to synchronize with main project plan forthe product; Review sub-module detailed plans and suggest modifications as required.
• Work with cross functional team to gather inputs and ensure that design is workable as per KPI.
• Taking role of Interface /coordinator in addition to his core responsibility as design engineer for his verticalwhere the PD organization can leverage his expertise over a period.

Experience Required

• For Graduate engineers- 10+ years of experience in product development with minimum 5 years of experienceon Compact Tractors (India, Europe, USA)
  For Diploma 15+ years of experience in design and development.
• Worked in a cross functional environment. Preference given to candidate from Tractor Industry with experienceon vehicle and structural parts.
