Job summary

ThoughtFocus is seeking an EMV Certification Engineer to validate payment solutions, ensuring EMV compliance for fleet/fuel domains. The role requires hands-on testing, strong EMV standards knowledge, ISO8583, encryption methods, and security protocols for web and mobile platforms.

The candidate will perform manual testing, write detailed test cases, and collaborate with developers and QA teams, with immediate joiner as a preferred option.

Qualifications

• Experience in EMV certification and payments domain.
• Hands-on testing of web and mobile applications.
• Strong knowledge of EMV standards, ISO8583, encryption methods and security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Expert level knowledge in EMV Level 3 certification with payment processor.
• Hands on experience in using ICC or UL BTT test tools.
• Develop and maintain test plans and test cases based on project requirements.
• Strong understanding of EMV standards, ISO8583, encryption methods, and security protocols.
• Manual testing using POS, MPOS and Android-based POS terminals.
• Experience with payment POS terminal configuration, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Manual Testing, perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT on web and mobile apps.
• Write, review, and execute detailed test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Identify, log, and track defects using bug-tracking tools; ensure defects are prioritized and resolved.
• Experience with Postman for API testing and automation; create and run collections.

About the role:

We are seeking a Quality Engineer with experience in the Payments domain and a strong background in EMV certification. The candidate will be responsible for validating payment solutions, ensuring compliance with EMV standards, and delivering high-quality testing outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Expert level knowledge in EMV Level 3 certification with payment processor.
• Hands on experience in using ICC or UL BTT test tools.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
• Strong understanding of EMV standards, ISO8583, encryption methods, and security protocols.
• Very good knowledge on payment transaction types.
• Experienced in manual testing using POS, MPOS and latest android-based POS terminals.
• Experience with payment POS terminal configuration, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Manual Testing , Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) on web and mobile applications.
• Write, review, and execute detailed test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Experience in manual software testing, with a strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and QA methodologies.
• Identify, log, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla). Ensure defects are properly prioritized and resolved.
• Experience with Postman for API testing and automation, including creating, managing, and running collections for efficient API testing and validation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in payments domain (e.g., POS systems, EMV ISO 8583, transaction processing).
• Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., BDD) is a plus.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git or Azure DevOps
