Job description

Harness is the AI Software Delivery Platform company, led by technologist and entrepreneur Jyoti Bansal (founder of AppDynamics, acquired by Cisco for $3.7B). Harness has raised approximately $570M in funding and is valued at $5.5B, backed by leading investors including Goldman Sachs, Menlo Ventures, IVP, Unusual Ventures, Citi Ventures, and more. As AI accelerates code creation, the real bottleneck has shifted to everything after the code – testing, deployments, application security, reliability, compliance, and cost optimization. Harness brings AI and automation to this “outer loop,” helping teams ship software faster while maintaining security and governance throughout the entire software delivery lifecycle.

Powered by Harness AI and the Software Delivery Knowledge Graph, the Harness Platform applies deep context and intelligent automation across the software delivery lifecycle with governance and policy-driven controls embedded throughout the platform.

Over the past year, Harness powered over 185M deployments, 82M builds, 18T flag evaluations, 8M security scans, 9.1B optimized tests, 3T protected API calls, and helped manage $2.8B in cloud spend — enabling customers like United Airlines, Morningstar, and Choice Hotels to accelerate releases by up to 75%, reduce cloud costs by up to 60%, and achieve 10x DevOps efficiency.

With a global team across 26 offices and 27 countries, Harness is shaping the future of AI software delivery — and we’re looking for exceptional talent to help us move even faster.

Position Summary

The People and Places team is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Employee Experience Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about managing stakeholder relationships, identifying friction points across the employee journey and solving for them, designing and delivering engaging programs that strengthen workplace culture, and tracking impact to prove the value of that work. You’re expected to be in our Bangalore Office 4 days a week and you'll operate like a product owner for employee experience. Know the business, know your stakeholders, and pinpoint where to add value and resolve friction.

This role designs, manages, and continuously improves the programs that shape how employees experience Harness, from onboarding through ongoing development, engagement, and retention. As an Employee Experience Specialist, you will play a key role in fostering a high-performance, people-first culture and ensuring every touchpoint of the employee journey reflects Harness's values. You'll own these programs end to end, from needs identification through design, delivery, and measurement, accountable for outcomes, not just execution. This role creates a seamless, professional experience for employees at every stage of their time at Harness.

Primary Responsibilities
Stakeholder Partnership & Business Alignment
  • Partner with the Director, Employee Experience, the People Business Partners, and key business stakeholders to understand organizational and employee experience needs and priorities.
  • Collaborate across the People and Places team to keep programs globally consistent while adapting for local needs in Bangalore and beyond.
  • Collect and analyze employee feedback and engagement data to assess program impact, and share findings with leadership to inform decisions.
  • Lead and support special projects.
Employee Experience Program Delivery
  • Design, implement, facilitate, and evaluate employee experience programs, including onboarding, engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and workshops.
  • Deliver engaging, impactful sessions and touchpoints in both virtual and in-person settings, including live sessions and self-guided experiences.
  • Own all program logistics — coordination, materials, and related arrangements — to ensure every session and initiative runs smoothly.
  • Conduct assessments (e.g., surveys, listening sessions, focus groups) to identify pain points, moments that matter, and opportunities to improve the employee journey.
  • Own relevant employee experience platforms and tools end to end — backend administration, content curation, troubleshooting, and reporting — and develop and implement adoption strategies that drive usage, participation, and a strong employee experience.
Employee Journey & Engagement Support
  • Partner with managers and HR to help employees navigate key moments in their journey, from onboarding to milestone transitions.
  • Stay current on emerging employee experience trends and technology, and bring innovative tools and practices into experience programs.
  • Measure the effectiveness of employee experience initiatives using data-driven approaches (e.g., engagement scores, retention metrics, satisfaction surveys).
  • Champion employee feedback loops and act as a voice for the employee perspective in cross-functional planning.
Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, Business, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in employee experience, employee engagement, HR programs, or a related role.
  • Experience in designing and delivering employee engagement or experience initiatives.

Skills:

  • Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in using employee experience/engagement platforms, survey tools, and other HR technology.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex or national origin.
