Job summary

Expleo seeks an EMC validation engineer to plan, execute, and document testing for automotive ECUs and electronic systems. You will perform emissions, immunity, ESD, and transient tests, develop plans, and contribute to design reviews for robust EMC performance.

You will collaborate with hardware, software, PCB and validation teams, investigate failures, and drive root-cause solutions to meet global automotive EMC standards. This role supports pre-compliance and production releases.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, analyze, and document EMI/EMC validation and compliance testing for automotive electronic systems and ECUs.

  • Conduct EMC design reviews and advise on PCB layout, grounding, shielding, and filtering practices.

  • Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and external laboratories for validation and certification.
  • Review results and suggest design changes to enhance compliance and performance.
  • Support product development from concept to production release, adhering to automotive standards.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Plan, execute, analyze, and document EMI/EMC validation and compliance testing for automotive electronic systems and ECUs.

Perform conducted/radiated emissions, immunity, ESD, and transient testing in accordance with automotive, OEM, and international EMC standards.

Develop EMC requirements, test plans, procedures, reports, and technical documentation.

Conduct EMC design reviews and support implementation of best practices related to PCB layout, grounding, shielding, filtering, harness routing, and EMC protection techniques.

Investigate EMC test failures, perform root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions to meet compliance requirements.

Support pre-compliance testing and provide design recommendations to improve EMC performance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, system, mechanical, PCB, and validation) to resolve EMC-related issues throughout product development.

Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and external EMC test laboratories for validation and certification activities.

Review EMC test results and provide technical recommendations for design improvements and compliance.

Support product development from concept through production release, ensuring adherence to customer-specific, regulatory, and automotive EMC standards.

Skills Required:
