Job summary

Bacancy Systems in Ahmedabad, India is seeking an experienced EMI/EMC Testing & Validation Engineer to perform electromagnetic compatibility testing, product validation, troubleshooting, and compliance activities for electronic and power-electronics products.

You will work with hardware, firmware, and system teams to identify issues, set up test configurations, generate reports, and drive corrective actions such as filtering and shielding to meet IEC 61000/CISPR standards.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, ECE, or Power Electronics.
• Hands-on experience in EMI/EMC testing, validation, or compliance.
• Understanding of conducted and radiated emissions, immunity testing, ESD, EFT, and surge.
• Familiarity with IEC 61000 and CISPR standards.
• Experience using equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, LISNs.
• Knowledge of grounding, shielding, filtering, and electromagnetic interference troubleshooting.
• Ability to analyze test results, identify failures, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Good analytical, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform EMI/EMC testing and validation, including conducted and radiated emissions and immunity testing.
• Conduct ESD, EFT, surge, and other applicable immunity tests.
• Support EMI/EMC testing for products such as EV chargers, solar/hybrid inverters, energy storage systems (ESS), and industrial power supplies.
• Set up test configurations, operate laboratory equipment, record results, and prepare detailed test reports.
• Analyze test failures and perform root cause analysis to identify electromagnetic interference issues.
• Work with hardware and design teams to implement corrective actions, including filtering, grounding, shielding, cable routing, and PCB-related improvements.
• Validate products against applicable EMI/EMC standards and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with external testing laboratories and certification agencies, wherever required.
• Maintain test plans, validation records, technical documentation, and compliance reports.
• Support product development from prototype testing through design validation and certification.
