Job summary

Tata Elxsi in Chennai invites an experienced embedded validation engineer to join our hardware/software verification team. You will drive U-Boot validation, bootloader testing, and platform bring-up across Linux-based targets.

Responsibilities include test planning, execution, debugging, and triage for embedded platforms; assess ARM SystemReady, ACS, UEFI SCT, FWTS, and related platform certification tests; perform performance benchmarking and scripting in Python to automate tests.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in U-Boot validation, bootloader testing, platform bring-up testing, or embedded software validation.
• Knowledge of USB, PCIe, DDR, and Storage subsystems (eMMC/UFS/Flash).
• Fastboot, ADB, and boot-related functionality validation.
• Experience in test planning, execution, debugging, and issue triage for embedded platforms.
• Knowledge of or experience with ARM SystemReady compliance testing, ACS (Architecture Compliance Suite), UEFI SCT, FWTS, or related platform certification tests is a plus.
• Experience in performance characterization and benchmark testing (CPU, memory, storage, PCIe, boot time).
• Exposure to Python scripting and test automation is desirable but not mandatory.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in U-Boot validation, bootloader testing, platform bring-up testing, or embedded software validation is highly desirable.


• Knowledge and hands-on experience in testing and validation of one or more of the following:

  • Linux platform and device driver validation
  
  
  
  


• Experience in test planning, execution, debugging, and issue triage for embedded platforms.


• Knowledge of or experience with ARM SystemReady compliance testing, ACS (Architecture Compliance Suite), UEFI SCT, FWTS, or related platform certification tests is a plus.


• Experience in performance characterization and benchmark testing (CPU, memory, storage, PCIe, boot time, etc.) is an added advantage.
