Job summary

Qualifications

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication or Electronics and Communication Engineering required.
• Hands-on embedded software/firmware development experience preferred.

Expected Outcome

• Hands-on experience in developing firmware and software for embedded systems especially on Instrument cluster. Responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining embedded software for microcontroller- and processor-based systems in a fast-paced engineering environment. To meet the specifications and requirements before being released into the market by aligning to quality assurance standards and processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Software Function requirements


• Design and develop embedded software/firmware using C/C++ for real-time systems


• Work with microcontrollers, processors, and peripherals


• Develop drivers, middleware, and application-level code


• Perform debugging, unit testing, and integration testing of embedded systems


• Work on communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, J1939, UDS


• Analyze system requirements and contribute to software architecture design


• Optimize code for performance, memory usage, and power efficiency


• Collaborate with hardware, system, and testing teams


• Maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test reports


• Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards

Essential Skills

• In-depth knowledge of strong programming skills in C/C++, Experience with embedded development tools like IAR, Keil, MPLAB, Excellent planning and problem-solving skills, Good understanding of RTOS concepts like FreeRTOS, Experience in debugging tools like JTAG, Knowledge on version control system like Git, Strong skills in embedded system design on power management, memory and timers, Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, Strong attention to detail.


• Good knowledge of Systems Engineering, Vehicle functions, E/E Architecture, ECUs (Hardware, Embedded Software and Interfaces), software development lifecycle management (SDLC), Bootloader, networking protocols like CAN, J1939, UDS, LIN and Ethernet

Any other specifications

• Knowledge of Matlab Simulink, Python script, CAPL script, Concepts like Compiler/Linker/Memory Management/Bootloader, UI/UX environment
