Job summary

Polluxa, Inc. is seeking an Embedded Software & Micro-motor Control Engineer in Mumbai (Khar West) with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in embedded software for motor-driven medical devices. You will work on design, development, control, and validation of motor systems and device-level testing.

The role requires strong C/C++ firmware skills, experience with BLDC/micromotors, and the ability to integrate electronics with software. NPD involvement and MCU-based firmware development are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• 2–3 years in medical devices or biomedical electronics.
• Strong Embedded C/C++, microcontroller and PWM speed control knowledge.
• Experience reading schematics and PCBs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize control for micro DC/BLDC motors in medical devices.
• Create control algorithms for speed, torque, acceleration, and direction.
• Develop firmware for MCU-based motor-control systems.
• Maintain embedded C/C++ code for motor control.
• Contribute to New Product Development (NPD).
• Implement UART, I2C, SPI, USB, Bluetooth/BLE interfaces.
• Test, inspect, troubleshoot and service motors and related equipment.

Position – Embedded Software & Micro-motor Control Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for an "Embedded Software & Micro-motor Control Engineer" to work on the design, development, control and validation of motor-driven medical devices.

The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in embedded software, BLDC/DC micromotors, motor‑control systems, electronics integration and device‑level testing .

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize control systems for micro DC/BLDC motors used in precision medical devices.
• Develop control algorithms for speed, rotation, direction, acceleration, vibration, oscillation, and torque and power system.
• Develop firmware for microcontroller‑based motor‑control systems.
• Develop and maintain embedded C/C++ code.
• Ready to work on NPD (new product development).
• Implement device communication protocols such as UART, I2C, SPI, USB, Bluetooth/BLE or other appropriate interfaces.
• Perform testing, inspection, troubleshooting and basic servicing of motors and related equipment.

Required Skills:

Essential:

• 2–3 years of experience in medical devices, biomedical equipment, electronics, instrumentation, mechatronics or technical product support.
• Strong programming experience in Embedded C/C++ .
• Experience with microcontrollers and embedded systems .
• Strong practical knowledge of DC/BLDC micromotors .
• Experience debugging hardware + firmware together.
• Ability to read electronic schematics and work with PCBs.
• Understanding of motor drivers and PWM‑based speed control.

Preferred:

Experience or familiarity with the following will be highly advantageous:

• Hands‑on experience with micromotors
• Python for test automation/data analysis.
• Experience developing PC/mobile applications that communicate with embedded devices.
• Experience with STM32, ESP32 or similar MCUs.
• PID/control-loop implementation.
• Encoder‑based closed‑loop speed/position control.
• Surgical/medical device maintenance and troubleshooting

* Candidates with hands‑on experience servicing or operating motors/micromotors will be strongly preferred.

What We Are Looking For:

• You should be comfortable moving between firmware code, electronics, motor behavior and physical prototype testing.
• Technically strong and genuinely interested in understanding how devices work.
• Comfortable opening, inspecting, testing and troubleshooting equipment where appropriate.
• Strong in problem‑solving and fault diagnosis.
• Able to understand both hardware and software aspects of a device.
