Perceptyne Robots is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer (L3/L4) to design and implement firmware for robot electronics. You will help craft high‑performance motion control, inter‑system communications, and safety compliant software for ISO 13849.

Candidates should have 4+ years of embedded experience, a degree in Electronics or CS, strong C skills, and familiarity with MISRA C. Proficiency with debugging tools, Python/LabVIEW/MATLAB, and PCB/schematic basics is a plus.

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science Engineering (ECE/EEE/EIE/CSE/IT/Mechatronics)
• >4 years of relevant work experience

Work Description:

As a Firmware Engineer, you are expected to execute all aspects of software that goes onto the electronics of our robot.

Your everyday activities would include:

• System/sub-system level architectural decisions pertaining to any embedded software that goes onto the robot
• Develop, test & re-factor robust code modules that implement: high performance motion control, inter-system communication, control schemas, robot safety, compliance as per ISO 13849, among other aspects

Skills / Requirements:

Experience Requirements:

• Bachelors / Masters in Electronics Engineering / Computer Science Engineering or equivalent (ECE / EEE / EIE / CSE / IT / Mechatronics)
• >4 years of relevant work experience

Technical skill Requirements:

• Firmware development experience:
• Excellent proficiency in firmware development, based on C
• Strong experience using IDEs, debuggers and other tools from one or more popular microcontroller vendors
• Ability to write well architected, modular, documented code. Understanding of MISRA C guidelines, a big plus
• Strong debugging skills
• Proficiency in Python / LabVIEW / MATLAB / VHDL is a big plus
• Good understanding of control systems is a big plus
• Experience understanding ISO standards, translating them into requirements is a plus.
• Circuit design skills: (Nice to have)
• Good understanding & experience of designing sub-sections of boards like power supply management, micro-controller subsystems, ADC/DAC circuits, protection circuits, isolation circuits etc.
• Good understanding of various figures of merit (specifications) in datasheets
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design tools.
• Dexterity with test equipment (Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, DMMs etc.) is a must
