Job summary

Ababil Healthcare in Chennai is seeking an embedded firmware engineer to develop and maintain firmware for microcontroller-based products. You will work with SPM Microcontrollers and Embedded C to design, test, and optimize software across sensors, actuators, and peripherals.

The role involves debugging with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and programmers, coordinating with hardware teams, and adhering to coding standards and version control to ensure reliable product releases.

Qualifications

• Develop and maintain embedded firmware for microcontroller-based products.
• Work with SPM Microcontrollers for firmware development and debugging.
• Interface microcontrollers with sensors, actuators, displays, motors, and other peripherals.
• Develop and integrate communication protocols such as UART, SPI, CAN, RS-232/RS-485, etc.
• Debug firmware using programmers, debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other test equipment.
• Analyze and resolve firmware and system-level issues.
• Participate in product development from requirement analysis through testing and validation.
• Prepare software design documents, test reports, and technical documentation.
• Optimize firmware for memory usage, processing speed, reliability, and power consumption.
• Follow coding standards, version control, and software development best practices.
