Happiest Minds Technologies is seeking an Embedded Linux Developer to design, develop, and maintain embedded Linux applications on custom hardware. You will build Linux distributions with Yocto, integrate industrial protocol stacks, and enable cloud IoT connectivity via MQTT.

The role requires 6+ years of hands-on experience with Embedded Linux, Yocto, and C++, plus familiarity with Ethernet, Modbus, BACnet, and REST APIs. You will collaborate across teams to deliver scalable embedded solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Embedded Linux, Yocto, and C++.
• Experience with embedded Linux hardware projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Embedded Linux applications using C++ on custom hardware platforms.

Looking for an Embedded Linux Developer with the below responsibilities,

• Design, develop, and maintain Embedded Linux applications using C++ on custom hardware platforms
• Build and customize Linux distributions using Yocto for embedded devices
• Integrate and debug industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, BACnet, REST APIs
• Implement cloud and IoT connectivity using MQTT and related frameworks
• Perform system bring-up, driver interaction, debugging, and performance optimization on embedded hardware
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable embedded solutions

Must Have:

Overall 6+ years of experience in Embedded Linux, Yocto, C++. Working project experience on embedded Linux hardwares.

Understanding of any Industrial protocols like Ethernet, Modbus, BACnet, REST API, Cloud connectivity(IoT, MQTT)

Nice to Have:

• Good Experience in Microservice development(EdgeX).
