Job summary

DEIC-L&T Precision Engineering & Systems IC in Mumbai seeks an experienced engineer to lead PCB design and embedded firmware development. You will architect boards, implement firmware in C, and validate hardware against system requirements. Travel to client or site test locations will be required.

The role blends hardware and software skills across processors, FPGAs, RTOS, and video signal handling. BE degree and 3–8 years in related work are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in PCB design and hardware/firmware development.
• Knowledge of processor and FPGA architectures; embedded C/C testing.
• Willingness to travel to testing sites.
• Experience with video signals is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect firmware and PCB, test and validate boards.
• Coordinate with vendors for schematic and layout; software/hardware integration.

Job Description

The person should have working with PCB design and development. The job requires both hardware as well as firmware development skills. The person will be responsible for architecture design, firmware development, testing and validation of PCBs. The person should undestand processor architecture, FPGA architecture, PCB schematic design, layout checking, firmware development on embedded C or C and should be capable of testing and validation. Any experience of working with videos or handling video signals would be an added bonus. The person should be capable of understanding system level requirements and distilling them to PCB level technical requirements. He / she will be the point of contact with our vendors with whom we will do hardware detail design (schematic) and also layout. The person should be willing to travel to sites for testing and validation purposes.
