Job summary

Cluix is seeking an Embedded and Project Team Lead to head firmware development and oversee end-to-end hardware-software engineering projects. The role combines hands-on embedded engineering with structured project management in a hybrid environment.

You will architect low-power embedded systems for precision water testing devices, lead a multidisciplinary team, and manage delivery from prototype to mass production, while ensuring quality and on-time milestones.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on embedded systems experience.

• Proven track record delivering IoT/embedded hardware to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor embedded firmware and IoT engineering team; set architecture standards and sprint goals.
• Manage cross-functional delivery across electronics, firmware, mechanical design, chemistry R&D, and QA.
• Architect and review production-grade firmware in C/C++ on ARM Cortex MCUs and RTOS.
• Define HW-SW interfaces, sensor data acquisition, power management, and wireless telemetry.
• Manage roadmaps, sprint planning, risk matrices, BOM readiness; oversee bring-up and HIL testing.
• Drive ECOs, root-cause analysis, and CI/CD test rigs; ensure compliance (CE/FCC/RoHS).

Description: CLUIX is seeking a high-caliber Embedded and Project Team Lead to head embedded firmware development and oversee end-to-end hardware-software engineering projects. In this hybrid technical and project management role, you will architect robust, low-power embedded systems for our precision water testing devices, lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, and manage product delivery timelines from prototype to mass production.

About the Role

• Lead and mentor the embedded firmware and IoT engineering team, setting architecture standards, code quality benchmarks, and sprint goals.
• Manage cross-functional engineering project delivery, coordinating electronics, firmware, mechanical design, chemistry R&D, and QA.
• Architect, develop, and review production-grade firmware in C/C++ on ARM Cortex microcontrollers (STM32, ESP32, etc.) and RTOS.
• Define hardware-software interface specifications, sensor data acquisition algorithms, power management logic, and wireless telemetry (BLE, Wi-Fi, 4G-LTE/NB-IoT).
• Manage engineering project roadmaps, sprint planning, Gantt charts, risk matrices, and bill of materials (BOM) readiness.
• Oversee hardware board bring-up, system-level debugging, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, and compliance certification (CE, FCC, RoHS).
• Implement automated firmware build pipelines, version control (Git), OTA update mechanisms, and CI/CD test rigs.
• Drive root-cause failure analysis for field issues and execute timely engineering change orders (ECOs).

Skill(s) required

• Expertise in embedded C/C++, RTOS (FreeRTOS / Zephyr), bare-metal firmware, and microcontroller architectures.
• Strong technical project management skills using Agile/Scrum, Jira/ClickUp, risk analysis, and engineering milestone tracking.
• Proficiency with communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, MQTT, CoAP) and sensor signal conditioning.
• Familiarity with hardware design principles, reading complex schematics, PCB layout reviews, and lab tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
• Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and manage team dynamics while maintaining high engineering rigor.
• B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics & Communication (ECE), Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Science, or Embedded Systems.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in embedded systems and firmware development, with at least 2+ years leading engineering teams or hardware projects.
• Proven experience delivering commercial-grade IoT/embedded hardware products to production.
