Job summary

Mantra Softech is seeking a technically competent ELV Onsite Engineer to oversee installation, commissioning, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of ELV systems at customer locations. You will coordinate with project and operations teams, resolve technical issues and ensure system performance as per project requirements and customer expectations, while keeping accurate service records and reports.

The role requires hands-on installation of CCTV, access control, VMS, and IP networking

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant ELV installation, commissioning, technical support or maintenance.
• Experience on industrial, commercial, infrastructure or enterprise customer sites is an advantage.
• Diploma/ITI/ Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, IT or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• ELV System Installation & Commissioning including CCTV, Access Control, VMS, and related security solutions.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity and networking issues and perform first/second-level support.
• Coordinate with project/operations teams and OEMs for issue resolution and timely closures.
• Monitor and maintain ELV system performance and site health checks.
• Prepare installation and commissioning reports and site status updates.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth site execution, coordinating with project and operations teams, resolving technical issues and maintaining system performance as per project requirements and customer expectations.

We are looking for a technically competent and proactive ELV Onsite Engineer to manage the installation, commissioning, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Electronic Low Voltage (ELV) systems at customer locations.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth site execution, coordinating with project and operations teams, resolving technical issues and maintaining system performance as per project requirements and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

1. ELV System Installation & Commissioning

• Handle installation, configuration, testing and commissioning of ELV systems.
• Work on CCTV Surveillance Systems, Access Control Systems, Video Management Systems (VMS), Intrusion Detection Systems and related security solutions.
• Supervise installation of field devices, controllers, cameras, readers, sensors, switches and other ELV equipment.
• Ensure installation activities are carried out as per approved drawings, BOQ and technical specifications.

2. Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Perform first-level and second-level troubleshooting of ELV systems.
• Diagnose hardware, software, connectivity and networking issues.
• Coordinate with OEMs and technical support teams for complex issues.
• Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and system downtime.

3. Networking & Infrastructure

• Basic understanding of LAN/WAN, IP addressing, VLANs and network switches.
• Troubleshoot IP cameras, PoE switches, fibre connectivity and network communication issues.
• Coordinate with IT/network teams for connectivity and infrastructure-related issues.

4. Operations & Maintenance

• Conduct preventive maintenance and periodic system health checks.
• Monitor system performance and ensure operational readiness.
• Maintain equipment records, fault logs, maintenance reports and service documentation.
• Ensure timely closure of site issues and customer complaints.

5. Project Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with project managers, operations teams, customers and subcontractors.
• Monitor site activities and provide daily/weekly progress updates.
• Prepare installation reports, commissioning reports, site status reports and material consumption reports.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures, quality standards and project timelines.

Required Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with CCTV/IP Surveillance Systems.
• Knowledge of Access Control Systems and VMS platforms.
• Understanding of IP networking, LAN, switches, routers and fibre optics.
• Knowledge of structured cabling and ELV infrastructure.
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and server environments.
• Ability to read technical drawings, BOQs and installation layouts.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / ITI / Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, IT or a related technical field.

Experience

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in ELV installation, commissioning, technical support or maintenance.
• Experience working at industrial, commercial, infrastructure or enterprise customer sites will be an advantage.
