Job summary

HRD House in Bengaluru, India seeks an experienced Electronics & Firmware Engineering Lead to define architecture for pharma manufacturing equipment, including controllers, sensors, actuators, power systems and communications.

You will mentor teams, drive hardware and software integration across electronics, firmware, robotics, and edge AI, and ensure production‑readiness, testing, and reliable releases.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in Electrical/Electronics or related fields in pharma, machine manufacturing, or automation.
• Strong knowledge of electronics architecture, schematic and PCB reviews, MCUs, and hardware bring-up.
• Proficiency in embedded C/C++ and real-time software, device drivers, diagnostics and fault recovery.
• Experience integrating robotics, industrial automation, embedded Linux, edge AI or connected devices.
• Proven capability to lead engineering teams, manage multiple projects, and coordinate with suppliers.
• Awareness of production readiness, hardware reliability testing, and lifecycle management.

• Candidate will be worked for reputed Pharma & Wellness Manufacturing Bangalore for defining electronics and embedded system architecture, including controllers, sensors, actuators, power systems and communication interfaces, and leading schematic and PCB design reviews.
• Candidate will be responsible for leading modular firmware development using C/C++, including device drivers, machine operating sequences, real-time execution, diagnostics, fault recovery and reusable software interfaces.
• Candidate will be responsible for driving new technology development programs by translating scientific and process requirements into electronics and firmware development plans and evaluating emerging technologies through structured experiments.
• Candidate will be responsible for integrating electronics, firmware, robotics, AI and edge-computing systems, ensuring reliable communication between machine interfaces, controllers and backend systems.
• Candidate will be responsible for establishing hardware testing, firmware validation, automated testing, hardware-in-loop testing and release procedures, ensuring system reliability, fault recovery and controlled software updates.
• Candidate will be responsible for leading, mentoring and managing electronics and firmware engineering teams, defining project priorities, timelines, milestones and deliverables, and coordinating with suppliers and external development partners.
• Candidate will be responsible for transferring prototypes into production-ready systems by maintaining hardware design files, BOMs, firmware releases and test procedures, while addressing component availability, obsolescence, and serviceability and field failures.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• BE/BTech or ME/MTech with 8-12 Years in Electrical, Electronics, or a related discipline in Pharmaceutical / Machine Manufacturing / Automation
• Candidate should have good knowledge of Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or a related discipline,and embedded product or machine development.
• Candidate should have good experience in electronics architecture, schematic and PCB design reviews, microcontrollers, component selection, hardware bring-up and hardwarefirmware integration.
• Candidate should have good knowledge of embedded programming in C/C++, real-time systems, device drivers, firmware architecture, diagnostics and fault-recovery mechanisms.
• Candidate should have good knowledge of sensor and actuator integration, industrial communication protocols, control systems, hardware-software interfaces and system troubleshooting.
• Candidate should have good experience in new technology development, technology evaluation and integration of robotics, industrial automation, embedded Linux, edge AI or connected devices.
• Candidate should have good experience leading engineering teams and managing multiple development projects, including project estimation, resource planning, technical reviews, testing and product releases.
• Candidate should have good knowledge of production readiness, hardware reliability testing, component lifecycle management, technical documentation, traceability and applicable equipment safety requirements.
• Candidate should have good experience delivering embedded products or machines in a demanding start up or R&D environment, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage changing priorities.
