Job summary

Atomionics India Private Limited is expanding its India team to deploy quantum gravimeters in the Amaravati Quantum Valley. You will prototype, test, refine and produce electronics solutions to operate in field conditions, collaborating with physicists, software and mechanical engineers.

The role focuses on practical electronics work, with responsibilities spanning field deployment, PCB maintenance, prototyping and fast design iterations to meet performance goals on international projects.

Qualifications

• Practical electronics project experience with schematic capture and PCB design.
• Working knowledge of analog and digital circuit design.
• Prototyping, debugging and performance testing of boards.
• Experience with interfaces such as SPI, I2C, RS232, USB and CAN.
• Willingness to travel for field deployments and work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field trials and deployment of quantum gravimeters, including setup and troubleshooting.
• PCB-level maintenance and design iterations to keep hardware in field good condition.
• Electronics system assembly, integration and testing ahead of and during deployment.
• Collaborate with physics and firmware teams in cross-functional projects.
• Propose and implement innovative electronic solutions and technologies.

Introduction

Do you want to be part of the team that revolutionizes resource exploration through quantum sensing?

Atomionics is working on quantum sensors based on atom-interferometry where atoms are cooled down to almost absolute zero using lasers. At such cold temperatures, the wave nature of atoms becomes prominent, which allows us to precisely measure the forces acting on them. This opens up a wide range of applications, including paving a path in the energy transition to zero-carbon and transforming resource exploration and geophysical surveying.

Headquartered in Singapore, Atomionics is now expanding its footprint to India, with our India operations anchored in the Amaravati Quantum Valley. As part of our India team, you will work closely with our Singapore headquarters, collaborating across borders while building deep tech capabilities locally, with our India team playing a critical role in field deployment of our Quantum Gravimeters. At Atomionics, you will get the chance to prototype, test, refine, finalize, and produce your designs, developing solutions that improve our sensor's performance while making it compact and robust for field deployment on projects around the world. We are looking for an Electronics Engineer who:

Responsibilities

• Conduct field trials and deployment of atom-interferometry based Quantum Gravimeters, including on-site setup, operation, and troubleshooting
• Conduct PCB-level maintenance, debugging, and design iterations to keep hardware performing as required in the field
• Conduct electronics system assembly, integration, and testing of our gravimeters ahead of and during deployment
• Work closely with the physics & firmware teams in cross-functional projects
• Propose and implement new innovative solutions and technologies

About you

• Practical experience with electronics projects, ideally with some exposure to schematic capture and PCB design (e.g. KiCAD)
• Working knowledge of analog and digital circuit design
• Comfortable with prototyping, debugging, and performance testing of boards
• Component knowledge and selection
• Familiarity with microcontroller/microprocessor-based systems
• Working knowledge of common interfaces (SPI, I2C, RS232, USB, CAN, etc.)
• Willingness to travel for field deployments and work in on-site/field conditions

Even better if you have

• Exposure to power electronics or signal processing circuit design
• Firmware, embedded systems, and programming experience
• FPGA & DDS experience
• Keen attention to detail and creative problem solving
