Job summary

Candidates should have ITI Electrician qualification and strong communication skills;

Qualifications

• ITI Electrician qualification is required.
• 3–5 years of electrical maintenance experience.
• Chemical industry exposure preferred.

• Maintain electrical panels, motors, starters, cables, switches, and other electrical systems.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment.
• Coordinate with Production and Maintenance teams for timely resolution of electrical issues.
• Follow the preventive maintenance schedule for all electrical equipment.
• Carry out safety procedures and proper LOTO and PPE usage.

Responsibilities:

• Electrical Maintenance
• Carry out routine electrical maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
• Attend electrical breakdowns and restore equipment within the shortest possible time.
• Carry out preventive maintenance as per the maintenance schedule.
• Regularly inspect electrical equipment and identify potential problems before breakdown occurs.
• Maintain electrical panels, motors, starters, cables, switches, and other electrical systems.
• Plant & Equipment Support
• Provide electrical support for smooth and continuous operation of the manufacturing plant.
• Check and maintain motors, pumps, agitators, compressors, utility equipment, andother electrically operated machinery.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment.
• Support maintenance activities during plant shutdowns.
• Coordinate with Production and Maintenance teams for timely resolution of electrical issues.
• Breakdown & Troubleshooting
• Identify the root cause of electrical faults and take corrective action.
• Troubleshoot motor, panel, wiring, starter, and electrical equipment-related problems.
• Minimize equipment downtime arising from electrical failures.
• Report recurring electrical problems to the Electrical Manager and support permanent corrective action.
• Preventive Maintenance
• Follow the preventive maintenance schedule for all electrical equipment.
• Conduct regular checking of electrical panels, connections, motors, cables, and safety devices.
• Maintain proper records of preventive maintenance and breakdown activities.
• Inform the concerned manager in advance about equipment requiring repair or replacement.
• Electrical Safety
• Strictly follow electrical safety procedures and plant safety requirements.
• Follow proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures before carrying out maintenance. Ensure proper use of PPE while carrying out electrical work.
• Report unsafe electrical conditions immediately.
• Maintain good housekeeping in electrical panels, work areas, and maintenance locations.
• Documentation & Spare Management
• Maintain basic records of breakdowns, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Monitor availability of commonly required electrical spares.
• Inform the Electrical Manager about critical spare requirements in advance.
• Ensure tools and electrical maintenance equipment are properly maintained.
