Job summary

Cynosure Corporate Solutions in Chennai is seeking an experienced Electrician for on-site MEP installations. You will install conduit, cable trays, DBs, MCCs, and lighting; read and interpret SLDs; and diagnose faults to keep systems running safely and reliably.

The role requires 3–6 years in electrical installation and maintenance, an ITI/ Diploma in Electrician, and a valid electrical license. GCC/UAE exposure is an advantage, with strict adherence to safety standards on every site.

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Electrician trade required.
• Valid Electrical License preferred depending on project.
• Additional safety certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical conduit (PVC/GI), cable trays, trunking, and raceways.
• Pull, terminate, and dress electrical cables per drawings.
• Install and connect DBs, MCCs, panels, switches, sockets, lighting fixtures, and power outlets.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), and layout plans.
• Test electrical circuits using appropriate testing instruments; rectify faults and carry out preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other MEP trades to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, local electrical codes, and safety regulations.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Install electrical conduit (PVC/GI), cable trays, trunking, and raceways.
  
• Pull, terminate, and dress electrical cables as per approved drawings.
  
• Install and connect DBs (Distribution Boards), MCCs, panels, switches, sockets, lighting fixtures, and power outlets.
  
• Perform installation of earthing and lightning protection systems.
  
• Install cable trays, cable ladders, junction boxes, and accessories.
  
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), and layout plans.
  
• Test electrical circuits using appropriate testing instruments.
  
• Identify and rectify electrical faults in wiring and equipment.
  
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems.
  
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other MEP trades to ensure smooth project execution.
  
• Ensure all work complies with project specifications, local electrical codes, and safety regulations.
  
• Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good condition.
  
• Report works progress and site issues to the Site Supervisor.
  
• Follow company HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) procedures at all times.
  
• Maintain proper housekeeping at the worksite.
  

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Electrician Trade or equivalent.
  
• Valid Electrical License (preferred as per project requirements).
  
• Additional safety certifications are an advantage.
  

Experience

• 3–6 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance within MEP projects.
  
• Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, hospitals, hotels, malls, or high-rise buildings is preferred.
  
• GCC/UAE experience is an added advantage.
